Woman, 84, dies after car plunges 20ft off cliff as shock pic shows wreckage

A WOMAN has died after the car she was in plunged off a cliff.

Ann Robins, 84, was named by cops after the crash at Corbiere, Jersey, at around 5pm on Sunday.

States of Jersey Police said the black Suzuki fell 6m (20ft) over the edge of the public car park and landed on its roof.

Another female was trapped in the car and remains in hospital in a stable condition.

An investigation into what happened is ongoing and police continue to appeal for witnesses.

Her family are being supported by specially trained officers, the force added.

Flowers were laid at the scene with one reading: "How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard".
