Love Island spin-off returns to UK screens with brand new host after shake-up

A LOVE Island spin-off will soon be back on UK screens - although some things will be a little different.

Meanwhile, an American iteration of the show launched in 2018, with actress Arielle Vandenberg initially at the helm.

Season six began airing in the States on June 11 and as done previously, the show will also be coming to ITVX.

This time around, there is a new host in the form of Vanderpump Rules reality TV star, Ariana Madix.

Ariana, 39, in turn replaces Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland, who took over presenting duties for seasons four and five.

In a show first, a celebrity singelton entered the villa.

Reality TV star Joey Essex is best known for his time on The Only Way Is Essex from 2011 to 2013.

Before Love Island, Joey had also appeared on the likes of Celebs Go Dating, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and Dancing On Ice.

Another show first saw the original islanders unknowingly determine the couples themselves in a challenge wherein they had to rank themselves from who was "Most to Least" boyfriend/girlfriend material.
