‘You should treat them the same’ people cry as mum reveals she refuses to do step-daughter’s laundry or take her to Dr’s

A MUM has caused controversy after she admitted that she does not do her step-daughter's washing, or take her to the doctors.

The mum, known only as @hotwifesummer online, took to TikTok to share a video of a list of things that she does not do for her step-daughter that she does do for her biological children.

Among the things on the list were, not doing her washing, not buying her step-daughter clothes for school, not attending parents evening and not taking her to doctors appointments.

She added that she is not "first, second third or fourth", in line to look after her step-daughter is her partner is not available.

The stay-at home mum revealed that she does not discipline her step-daughter and will not decide on punishments for her.

She added that she does not communicate with her step-daughter's mother to arrange who is looking after her.

In another video, the 33-year-old revealed that she does not do all of these things for her step-daughter because the girl's mum and dad have got all of these things covered.

She added that she does not do her step-daughter's washing because she felt that she had slipped into the role of "primary caregiver", which isn't what her step-daughter wanted from her.

She said that her step-daughter has her own separate wash basket, and the girl's dad, washes her clothes, brushes her hair and gets her ready for school, whilst the step-mother does these things for her biological children.

In a third video, the mum shared a list of things that she does do for her step-daughter.

This included celebrating her achievements, looking after her when she's unwell, going to school plays and cooking for her.

The step-mum added that she wants to a "supportive role" in the girls life that she can build a lasting relationship with.

The mum's video has likely left many open-mouthed, as it has racked up over 800,000 followers on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to share their thoughts, with some accusing the woman of being a "wicked step-mother".

One person said: "Wow you sound like a prize catch of a Stepmother.

"Are you fresh out of Snow White and the seven dwarves?"

Another person said: "You should treat them the same way".

A third person said: "Wow, this has massive 'She is not part of our family' vibes. Scary."

A fourth person added: "You seem like the stepmother no one would want."
