Die Hard 2 star Tom Bower dead at 86 from ‘unknown cause’ at home in Los Angeles
THE Waltons actor Tom Bower has died at the age of 86.
He died last week at his home in Los Angeles, California.
The cause of his death is unknown.
Tom's brother Robert Bower confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter.
He played Dr. Curtis Willard on The Waltons as well as the janitor, Marvin, in Die Hard 2.
Marvin helped John McClaine stop the terrorists.
Most recently, Tom played Bob Odenkirk's dad on the AMC series, Lucky Hank.
Some of his other roles include Shadows, The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez, Nixon, and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, among others.
HIS TIME ON THE WALTONS
Tom guest starred The Waltons Season 4 episode called The Wing Walker.
He played a pilot named Rex Barker.
However, he was so well-liked on the show that he became a regular cast member the following season.
Tom played Dr. Curtis Willard at Waltons Mountains after he replaced Dr. Vance.
The doctor hired Mary Ellen Walton to be his nurse.
They eventually get married and have a son together.
His character was written of the CBS show in 1978 when the doctor was killed in an attack on Pearl Harbor.
Curt showed up in a 1981 episode, but was played by a different actor.
