Rather than chucking away her rice water, the skin expert revealed that she keeps a jar of it by her bathroom sink because it’s so useful.
Often, she’ll use it as a cleanser first thing in the morning and it leaves her skin glowing throughout the day.
“What I do after I cleanse with water, is just go in with the rice water and wash my face with again,” she explained, adding: “I do this a couple of times.”
As she cleansed her face, the influencer claimed that you won’t need to rinse off the rice water as it acts as an ‘essence’.
This isn’t the only DIY treatment that Tammy does, as she will also use the rice water as part of a homemade face mask.
After soaking cotton pads in the ingredient, the beauty guru will then gently place them on her face and let them sit for 10 minutes.
Talking fans through the process, she said: “This is [for] when you have a bit more time and I do this at night, whenever I have a little bit more time.”
If you are wanting to give your skin an extra boost, you can follow up with your normal skincare routine to guarantee glowing skin in the morning.
Finally, Tammy will use the rice water in a spritz bottle to refresh her skin throughout the day – which you can find on Amazon for just £2.
Whilst some might question this skincare hack, her fans were convinced it was the secret to slowing aging after seeing her video.
“I THOUGHT YOU WERE 25?! I’m sold on the rice water,” gushed one fan, with others claiming that will be ‘immersing their bodies’ in rice water from now on.
Another added: "The way I GASPED when I read you 42."
Given the influencer’s results and the fact that you can pick up rice for just £1.25, it seem this hack is well worth a try – especially as there is science to back it up.
According to a 2013 study, it showed that fermented rice water can help increase college in the skin and help stop wrinkles.
