Computer failure at Hong Kong airport hits real-time flight information for passengers

Hong Kong International Airport reported a “computer system failure” on Sunday morning, affecting updates of real-time flight information on displays as well as on its website and mobile apps.

The Airport Authority urged passengers to allocate sufficient time for check-in procedures and to contact their airlines for the latest flight details.

A source said the failure was reported early in the morning, delaying real-time information on passenger arrivals and departures.

Whiteboards have been erected in the airport’s restricted area to display handwritten flight updates.
