LISTENING to the words of Beyoncé, one single lady put a ring on it, but it still wasn't enough for some.
One woman clapped back against critics who invalidated her marriage despite the two of them having been together for over two decades.
Andrea (@infinitepolyam) shared the video with over 100,000 TikTok followers.
The content creator, who's in a polyamorous marriage with her husband, responded to a viewer who commented on one of her videos.
"Y'all get married... just to date other people... marriage is so meaningless now," they wrote.
Andrea found the comment hilarious: "Haha our marriage is really so meaningless, who cares about the fact that we've been together for 22 years since I was a high school senior?" she joked.
In the last two decades, Andrea revealed, the two have witnessed each other finish school, and watched each other acquire their bachelor's and master's degrees.
They've even moved to a new city in a new home, survived a hurricane, and started a family.
"Who cares that we have an eight-year-old daughter that we have managed to raise this whole time into a wonderful little child?" she said.
Andrea didn't let the haters invalidate her polyamorous relationships.
"My marriage is strong and we’ve literally watched one another grow into adulthood," she wrote.
"There’s nothing meaningless about my relationship with him. We weren’t even monogamous when we got married."
People flooded her comments with support: "Right!? Tonight my hubby is on a date," said one commenter.
"I worked, just got home, and am enjoying some quiet time alone. Hope he has fun."
"Haters gonna hate. Continue to be happy and enjoy life poly is beautiful," said another.
