I bought a mobile home for £1k – and you wouldn’t know it wasn’t a house when you step inside, it’s massive
BUYING a house can be expensive, so one savvy woman decided to get a mobile home instead - and it only cost her £1,000.
Emily Stell gave a tour around her affordable pad, which she had transformed to look very stylish indeed.
On her @emily.stell account, she wrote: “Some highlights of my remodelled 1999 farmhouse mobile home that I originally only paid $1,500 (£1,100) for.”
She first showed off her very chic kitchen.
Thankfully she hadn’t needed to replace the original cabinets, but had just painted the doors and then replaced the hardware.
Emily had also been frugal when it came to her kitchen table, and said she had “bought it in a terrible state” and had “flipped it for little to nothing.”

Meanwhile, her bar stools were $20 (£15) each from a charity shop and in a “brand new condition.”
Her TV cabinet was also thrifted from Facebook Marketplace, saving her even more cash.
Emily showed how the home has a utility room housing a washer and dryer for her clothes.
She had painted the cupboards in the laundry room a bright blue shade, and added: “The teal cabinets are my favourite part in the house.”
Next up was the snug bedroom which featured a large bed and a chest of drawers.
Emily had asaved money with her bed, and wrote: “Custom made headboard and bedframe that I found for only $200 (£157).”
She also had a large bathroom and explained how she had “knocked out the old garden tub” and added a “5ft walk in shower.”
The home owner added: “Turned the old shower area into a closet space (forgot to video it.”
After showing off her tour, Emily said: “My home and land will forever be my proudest accomplishment.”
And many people were amazed at her bargain home, with her video racking up over 36,000 likes.
One person wrote: “Ok I’m obsessed.”
Another added: “These trailers these days are looking better than some houses lol.”
A third commented: “It looks beautiful, comfy, and where great memories will be made. God bless your home!”
