The best time to go for a poo on the plane according to flight attendants
A FLIGHT attendant has revealed the optimum time to go for a poo on the plane - and how to keep the toilet smelling fresh.
Although it is recommended, for the noses of all passengers, to just "hold it" - here's some expert advice for when you don't have any other option.
Erika Roth, a former crew member, shared the best time to go with MEL Magazine.
"As soon as the seatbelt sign is off, before drink service begins," she explained.
And, the longest passengers should stay in the bathroom is 10 minutes - but ideally five.
"Twenty minutes will get you a knock on the door," added Erika.

Although, the ex-flight attendant still urged travellers to "hold it" in on short haul flights due to limited bathrooms.
She said: “Close quarters, poor ventilation and a lack of efficient plumbing — to be blunt, the stench can fill a cabin quickly."
However, if it really can't be helped, Erika revealed a nifty hack to reduce any gross smells.
“Ask an attendant for packets of coffee grounds, then hang them up in the lavatory. The grounds will soak up the odor," she explained.
Meanwhile, other crew members have previously shared the weirdest places they've discovered poo on a plane.
Laura Reynolds told Virgin Atlantic: "Yes, we've all got a poo story.
"Finding poo in places that you possibly shouldn't find it.
"For example, outside a toilet as opposed to inside a toilet, is always one.
"I once found a poo outside a toilet that I thought was a joke poo. Because it looked like the perfect little joke shop poo."
And, crew often have to deal with soiled nappies that haven't been bagged up properly, according to Laura.
In addition, Fiona Mallinson, who used to work for Ryanair, admitted she he had her own disgusting stories.
She told the Daily Mail: "There's always body fluids going on somewhere."
When asked where she has found poo on a plane, she said: "On top of a toilet."
