I DIYed a huge wall mirror with $7 Walmart buys – people say it’s ‘brilliant’ but follow my tip for hanging it
A CRAFTY homeowner revealed how she turned a $7 mirror into something out of a design magazine.
All you need are three cheap items.
Budget-friendly shopper Demi (@demi_j35) was influenced by a home décor trend she saw on TikTok.
“I decided to do the wall mirror hack,” she said in the clip.
She headed to her local Walmart and picked up ten of the $7 long mirrors.
Because her store only carried them in black, but her home's accents were mainly silver, she decided to get a little creative.
“I got some metallic silver spray paint.”
She covered the reflective portions in painters’ tape so that the paint wouldn’t spill over to that part, and began spraying them all.
In the comments, she revealed how she got them to hang securely on her wall.
While she first tried to use Gorilla Adhesive Peel And Stick, her walls were too textured to hold onto it well.
So, she opted for tried-and-true nails and a hammer.
“It works perfectly.”
When she revealed the final product, viewers were impressed by how simple and impactful it was.
She lined up five mirrors next to each other so that their edges touched, and beneath them lined up five more – so it looked like one large, paneled piece.
“Absolutely love, love this and I’m so happy somebody sprayed something with silver!” one commenter wrote.
“Brilliant,” added another.
