In the video she said: "I think a lot of people would be surprised to know how many couples don't actually share a bed and that's because there's lots of stigma and shame around it.

"We have this idea that if you're not sharing a bed there's something wrong with your relationship but for me, it's the exact opposite."

Tiffany explained that her marriage is in the healthiest and strongest place it's ever been, which she partly attributes to the fact that she and husband Shaun sleep in different rooms.

She said that she and her husband have extremely different sleep routines, for example she wakes up for work at 4:45, whereas he snoozes his alarm and gets up much later and she likes cotton bedding whereas her husband likes fluffy bedding.

She said that these differences in their preferred night-time routine are the "perfect recipe for arguments" so sleeping in separate beds helps to prevent arguments and keeps their marriage healthy.

Tiffany said that when the couple do have "sleepovers" and sleep in the same bed as each other "it's like a little treat".

"Distance makes the heart grow fonder", she said.

Tiffany said that almost everyone in her circle of friends doesn't share a bed with their partner at least some nights of the week.

She said: "I think people are just a bit afraid to share that side of their relationship".

TikTok users were divided over Tiffany's sleeping arrangements, and took to the video's comments sections to share their thoughts .
One user said: "If you can't sleep together, maybe you're just not compatible".

However, another user said: "This has really convinced me to advocate for single bedrooms, sounds great to be honest. All the benefits of being single & having your own space, whilst married."
