FA Cup 4th round draw LIVE: Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool discover opponents – latest updates, start time

  • Here we go

Kelly Somers hosting the draw, with Martin Keown and Mark Schwarzer about to select the ties.

Poor old Keown looking glum in his signature turtleneck after Arsenal crash out in dramatic fashion.

He growls through gritted teeth: "Watching that was like being at the dentist." Oh dear.

  • Draw is imminent

Almost an hour behind schedule, the 4th round draw coming up shortly.

  • Man Utd beat Arsenal 5-3 on pens

The defending champions are through - somehow.

A proper rearguard action from Amorim's men, who had 10 men for much of the contest.

They made it through to penalties, where Kai Havertz fluffed his lines for the Gunners.

Five perfect pens from United, with Joshua Zirkzee smashing in the winning spot-kick.

8,000 United fans go berserk behind the goal. That's a statement performance.

  • Full time - Arsenal 1-1 Man Utd (after aet)

Despite numerous chances against an exhausted ten men, Arsenal just can't find a winner.

We go to penalties, with Red Devils keeper Altay Bayindir already saving Martin Odegaard's spot-kick earlier in the day.

And after that, finally, we'll have the draw for the 4th round of the FA Cup.

  • Late drama

How it's still level at the Emirates is anyone's guess.

Declan Rice is the latest Arsenal player to miss a sitter - time running out for Mikel Arteta's men to avoid penalties.

Remember, whoever does eventually triumph will be ball No.2 in the draw, which follows the conclusion of this game.

  • Final countdown

Just 15 minutes left on the clock in North London, with United somehow making it through to HT of ET unscathed.

    Penalties looming at the Emirates.

Elsewhere, Southampton are 2-0 up against Swansea and seemingly cruising into the fourth round.

  • United holding firm

It's all Arsenal at the Emirates, who have wasted two big chances since the restart.

8,000 United fans behind the goal are trying their best to back the ten men, who have been on the back-foot since Diogo Dalot saw red on the hour mark.

  • Draw delayed

Man Utd have held out at the Emirates for a 1-1 draw.

In previous years, we'd have been heading to a replay at Old Trafford.

But instead, it's extra time and potentially penalties to come.

The 4th round draw will follow the conclusion of this game, which has been an absolute belter.

Eight cards, a sending off, a saved penalty, and missed chances galore.

The first half wasn't much cop, but that second 45 was vintage Arsenal vs Man Utd.

  • Prem power

Premier League trio Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Ipswich have all booked their place in the 4th round.

They're also underway on the South Coast, where Kamaldeen Sulemana has given Southampton an early lead over Swansea.

    • Newcastle 3-1 Bromley
    • Crystal Palace 1-0 Stockport
    • Ipswich 3-0 Bristol Rovers

  • Extra extra

Still 1-1 at the Emirates and as it stands, we're heading to extra time.

That would mean the 4th round draw is delayed by at least 30 minutes - and could be longer if we go to penalties.

Still time for a late winner as we go into stoppage time, where 10-men United are sitting deeper and deeper.

  • Worth a replay

Fans have slammed a "cruel" FA Cup rule change that saw non-league Tamworth denied a money-spinning replay at Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou’s Premier League giants were taken to extra time by their hosts after the initial 90 minutes ended in a 0-0 draw.

Old FA Cup rules meant a draw between the sides would have resulted in a replay.

Had those still applied today, it would have seen Tamworth travel to Spurs’ £1billion stadium – which holds 62,850 compared to their Lamb Ground at 4,000.

FA Cup replays were scrapped only in April last year following a scheduling agreement with the Premier League.

  • Seeing red

It's absolute carnage at the Emirates.

Harry Maguire is adjudged to have felled Kai Havertz in the box.

Penalty - but not before a mass brawl breaks out, resulting in several players hitting the deck.

No more red cards, but the red mist has descended.

To top it all off, Odegaard's penalty is then saved by United's No.2 Altay Bayindir. Drama.

  • Red alert

A potentially game-changing moment at the Emirates.

Diogo Dalot has been sent off for a second yellow card after lunging in at Kai Havertz.

Just moments later, Gabriel rises highest to level things up.

Remember, if the game goes to extra time, the 4th round draw will be delayed.

    • Arsenal 1-1 Man Utd
    • Crystal Palace 1-0 Stockport
    • Ipswich 3-0 Bristol Rovers
    • Newcastle 3-1 Bromley

  • Red Devils on top

A big goal at the Emirates - and it's completely against the run of play.

Man Utd have been under the cosh but showcase some brilliant speed on the counter to break the deadlock.

Alejandro Garnacho galloped away on the right before feeding Bruno Fernandes, who smashed a first-time shot into the top corner.

Should Ruben Amorim's men hold on, they'll be ball No.2 in the draw that immediately follows this game.

  • Results so far

Two FA Cup games have already been completed today - and it was almost an embarrassing afternoon for Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou's side needed extra time to see off Tamworth, a team 96 places below them in the pyramid.

While up in Hull, Doncaster Rovers of League Two won on penalties to book their place in round four.

    • Hull 1-1 Doncaster (Doncaster win 5-4 on penalties)

  • Making his Mark

Two Premier League stalwarts will pick the ties out of the hat following the conclusion of Arsenal vs Man Utd.

Martin Keown and Mark Schwarzer will join host Kelly Somers to draw out the 4th round matches.

  • Half-time report

Just one goalless contest across our four FA Cup games, with Arsenal being held by Man Utd.

Gabriel Martinelli had a goal correctly ruled out for offside in what was otherwise a drab opening 45 minutes at the Emirates.

Elsewhere, Ipswich are running away with it against Bristol Rovers, Bromley are holding Newcastle, and Palace lead Stockport.

    • Arsenal 0-0 Man Utd
    • Newcastle 1-1 Bromley
    • Crystal Palace 1-0 Stockport
    • Ipswich 3-0 Bristol Rovers

  • Still to come

The FA Cup third-round weekend is a marathon event these days.

Even once the four matches we've currently got on the go are over, there are still two left.

Southampton take on Swansea City from 4.30pm this afternoon, with the draw taking place around 30 minutes after KO at St Marys.

Tomorrow night, the lowest-ranked team remaining in the competition - Dagenham & Redbridge - face Millwall.

  • Kalvin on target

Ipswich have raced into a 2-0 goal lead against Bristol Rovers.

Ex-England man Kalvin Phillips has been underwhelming since arriving at Portman Road on loan in the summer.

But he's finally broken his long scoring drought - netting a first goal from open play since 2022.

Should the Tractor Boys hold on, they'll be ball number 30 in the draw.

  • Around the grounds

Bromley's lead didn't last long as Toon click into gear, with teenager Lewis Miley equalising for Newcastle.

At the Emirates, Gabriel Martinelli has the ball in the net for Arsenal - but is denied by the linesman's flag. No VAR today, remember.

  • Shock alert!

What a start for L2 side Bromley in the North East.

Cameron Congreve picks up the ball 25 yards out and bends a brilliant strike past Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka.

Outrageous scenes in the away end. Bromley or Newcastle will be ball number 23 in this evening's draw.

  • Super Sunday

Four FA Cup ties have just kicked off, with last year's winners Man Utd taking on Arsenal.

Crystal Palace host League One high-fliers Stockport, Ipswich welcome Bristol Rovers, and League Two Bromley are up against Newcastle.

In Tamworth, Spurs have added a third through Brennan Johnson. It's job done for Ange's men - but that was quite a scare.

  • Proving their Worth

It's been a brave effort from fifth-tier Tamworth, but their FA Cup adventure looks close to the end.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou brought on the big guns after his side laboured to a 0-0 draw in normal time.

Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min have just combined to make it 2-0 to Spurs with just minutes remaining.

  • Hull of a result

Championship strugglers Hull City are OUT of the FA Cup.

Over at the MKM Stadium, League Two Doncaster have won 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Harry Clifton hit the winner from the spot, dumping the Tigers out.

Doncaster will now take No. 18 in tonight's draw. It's the first time Rovers have reached R4 since 2021.
