Sian Welby shares ‘shameful’ proof fashion was at its worst in 2006 – from ‘no eyebrows’ to ‘foundation covered lips’
FROM tooth gems to looking like an Oompa-Loompa after going overboard on the fake tan, we've all been guilty of committing a beauty or fashion crime at one point or another.
And it turns out that This Morning star and Capital Breakfast host Sian Welby is no different.
The 37-year-old, who is expecting her first baby with radio producer Jake Beckett, who proposed last summer, took to Instagram and shared a montage of rather questionable outfits, makeup and hairstyles from across the years.
In the clip, Sian, who is now 33 weeks into her pregnancy, with the baby estimated to be due at the end of June/beginning of July, begins by writing: "Proof fashion was at its worst in 2006-2012."
Sharing the several of her beauty offences, she posted a series of photos showing a stage where she opted for the 'no eyebrows' look, closely followed by the 'foundation covers lips.'

Next up was the 'eyelashes hanging off eyes' phase and the 'shiny bronzer on cheeks,' along with the French polish glue on Elegant Touch nails.

And like many of us, Sian also experimented with the 'trendy' hairstyles of the time.
Amonst them included 'stripy highlights,' 'dodgy clip in hair extensions, the 'plaited hairbraid' and not forgetting, the 'poofy quiff with straightened hair.'
As for fashion, the radio presenter styled some 'chunky wooden bangles' and appeared to be a huge fan of fancy dress - including dressing up as Lady Gaga, donning Madonna's costume golden boobs and Britney-inspired trilby hats.
Alongside the photos, she wrote: "2006-2012 fashion….Oh the shame!!
"WHAT WERE WE THINKING???"
It wasn't long before the post racked up thousands of views and comments from other social media users who were also victim to some of the same fashion fashion faux pas.
"And my eyebrows are still recovering from this," wrote one.
A second joked: "The quiff with overly straightened hair had me in a chokehold."
"The youth of today don’t understand what we went through," a third commented.

Again a popular choice among fashionistas in the 90s, these heels have made a comeback with designers such as Balenciaga trying their luck with their own styles.
Cargo pants
Once worn by the stars of All Saints, cargo pants became a popular trend for teens in the 90s. But they've now had a fashion overhaul, with stars such as Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber all putting their own spin on the trend.
Jeans and a nice top
It was the phrase that defined fashion for a decade, and now famous faces such as Sofia Richie are sporting the reinvented trend - pairing their own denims with a more sophisticated top. But are you willing to dig your jeans and nice tops out of the wardrobe for a second time?
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: "The fashion might have been very questionable but wasn't these the best days ever when we didn't care what anyone else thought of us and getting on the club website was the highlight."
Another penned: "We were literally all copy and pastes of each other weren’t we? 'Nice top and jeans.'"
And a further chimed in: "Don’t remind me Sian - to this day, I’m still having nightmares about it now."
