‘Vanishingly rare’ Ford Capri lovingly restored with ‘superb Carla tartan interior’ up for auction
A "VANISHINGLY rare" Ford Capri blessed with a "superb tartan interior" is up for auction.
The vintage motor comes complete with a new exhaust system and timing belt and an impressive 100 brake horsepower.
According to experts over at Car & Classic, this "delectable" 1982 Capri S is light and nimble - perfect for navigating roundabouts sideways or bashing through boxes.
The vehicle's "vibrant" tartan interiors are an added aesthetic selling point.
This Capri also guarantees a long advisory-free MOT to August 2024, meaning the car is now MOT, tax and ULEZ exempt by year.
According to records, this Capri was first registered in the UK on 13th April 1982 and has 73,000 miles on the clock.

Collectors are urged to put in their offer before the motor goes under the hammer as "these S models are becoming vanishingly rare."
This comes as another Capri was stored away in a garage for nearly 40 years before it was sold at auction.
The 1984 Capri MK3 1.6-litre has only picked up 36,000 miles on the clock having spent most of its life sat in a Buckinghamshire garage.
The motor had been locked away gathering dust since 1987.
It only saw daylight for a few hours in 2016 when the owner, who couldn’t drive sent it off for an MOT.
Elsewhere, a limited edition end of the line Ford Capri with low mileage has been sold after being stored for 23 years.
The iconic motor, first registered in 1987, has just 21,970 miles on the odometer.
