Baftas 2024: Oppenheimer triumphs at Baftas as Cillian Murphy wins top gong and Emma Stone scoops leading actress

THE world's eyes are on London this evening for the 77th British Academy Film Awards.

This year's star-studded event sees a total of 38 films up for awards hosted by David Tennant at the Royal Festival Hall in London's Southbank Centre.

Leading the pack with 13 nominations is Christopher Nolan's epic biopic about atomic bomb creator J Robert Oppenheimer.

All eyes will be on the most coveted categories such as Best Film, Leading Actor and the EE Rising Star Award, with Margot Robbie is nominated for Leading Actress for her role in the smash-hit Barbie filmfollowing her snub from the same category at this year's Oscars.

Stars of the big screen turned out on the red carpet, with Bafta president Prince William arriving solo as Princess Kate continues to recover from planned abdominal surgery earlier this month.

Here are the results as they're announced live on stage before being aired on BBC One from 7pm tonight.
