Not only can this annoyance make an unsightly mess, but these water droplets can also lead to the growth of mould - which, in some cases, can prove to be fatal.

Amongst those most vulnerable are newborns, young kids, elderly, as well as those with respiratory issues, allergies and asthma.

According to the whizz, the answer is no other than using Fairy washing-up liquid - but if you want to use supermarket own version, Sainsbury's offers theirs for a mere 69p.

Posting the game-changer of a hack that's sure to come in handy, the cleaning fan advised to first wet a cloth before covering it with a few drops of the washing-up liquid.

Once done, simply wipe down windows and then dry with a clean cloth.

''Not a mark in sight and helps prevent condensation,'' the savvy cleaning enthusiast dropped knowledge bombs in the clip.

As bizarre as it may sound, this remedy works because the cleaning essential creates a thin film that lowers the surface tension of the glass - and prevents water droplets from forming on the cold surface, explained the pros at Glazing Refurbishment.

What's more, the thrifty cleaning whizz demonstrated in the informative clip, you can use washing-up liquid not just for making dishes sparkle and tackling annoying condensation - but elsewhere around the house too.

The clean cloth and washing-up liquid method can also be used for removing any stubborn stains from mirrors and shower fixtures.

''This is also the best way to clean matte black fixtures without damaging them,'' the cleaning fanatic said.

On top of this, the purse-friendly product can also be used to make 'worktops shine'' and leaves a streak-free finish on any cupboards.

What is condensation?

Condensation is water droplets that form on a window when moist air comes into contact with a cold surface.

Condensation occurs when:

Air cools

Warmer air can hold more moisture than cooler air. When moist air touches a cold surface, like a window, the water vapour in the air turns into liquid water droplets.

Windows are colder than walls

Windows are often colder than insulated walls, so condensation is more likely to occur on them.

Windows are poorly insulated

Poorly insulated windows can lead to condensation, especially if they are made of aluminium, which conducts heat quickly.  If left untreated, it can lead to mould and other serious problems.

Dozens of fellow social media users flooded to comments to share their thoughts, raving about the affordable essential.

One said: ''Brilliant for just about any stains on clothes including grease.''

Someone else chimed in, writing: ''Used it to remove blood stains from favourite pyjamas post partum, soak in cold water for few hours with fairy all removed.''
