  • City sell keeper stateside

Manchester City have parted ways with back-up goalkeeper Zack Steffen.

The American international has headed back to his home country to join Colorado Rapid in the MLS.

Steffen leaves Man City having made just 21 appearances for the Premier League outfit.

  • Man City interested in Pedro Neto

Manchester City are reportedly keeping a keen eye on Wolves winger Pedro Neto.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Arsenal for a long time, but there has been no movement with the Gunners as of yet.

  • Spence returns to Tottenham

Djed Spence has had his loan spell with Leeds United cut short.

The 23-year-old was loaned to the Yorkshire club at the start of the season and was supposed to stay until the summer.

But after just seven appearances he has now returned to his parent club Tottenham.

Leeds announced the surprise news on their website with an official statement that read: "Leeds United can confirm that Djed Spence has returned to Tottenham Hotspur, bringing his loan spell with the club to an end.

"Spence made seven appearances whilst with the Whites after joining in the summer transfer window.

"We would like to thank Djed for his efforts whilst at Elland Road and we wish him well for his future career."

  • Arsenal still interested in Vlahovic

Arsenal could return for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this month.

The Gunners were keen on the 23-year-old back in 2022 when he opted to join the Old Lady from Fiorentina.

But Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill has hinted that the north London outfit could return for the Serbian due to a number of factors.

Speaking to The Arsenal Beat podcast, he said: "Another player though we know Mikel Arteta is a fan of is Dusan Vlahovic.

"Juventus wanted £50m, but that was too steep for Arsenal, but Juventus have financial problems.

“They would listen to a cash-plus-player offer and there are also these tax rules in Italy which is something for them to consider.”

  • PSG target Guimaraes

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes their number one target during the January window.

According to ESPN Brazil, the Parisians are in search of an experienced midfielder and have placed Guimaraes as their number one target.

It's said that a move could cost the Ligue 1 outfit around £100m.

The Magpies are already in the midst of an injury crisis and losing another important player would put Eddie Howe's side in big trouble.

  • Brentford want £100m for Toney

It is looking increasingly unlikely that Ivan Toney will be signing for Arsenal this month.

The Gunners are in desperate need of some goals up top, but they will have to fork out a fortune to add Toney to their ranks.

According to the Independent, Brentford have slapped a £100m price tag on their star man for the winter window.

And a deal of that magnitude would be extremely difficult for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side to pull off in January.

  • Mbappe agrees to miss out on almost £70m

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly agreed to forgo around £70m in payments if he leaves PSG on a free.

According to Ben Jacobs, Mbappe has a "binding agreement" with the club that would see him lose out on a number of bonuses should he leave.

It would allow the Parisians to remain financially stable if Mbappe does join another club on a free transfer.

Although it is said that he would be entitled to the money if he stays in Paris.

  • United offer contracts to trio

Manchester United have confirmed extensions have been triggered in the contracts of first-team trio Hannibal Mejbri, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof, Erik ten Hag confirmed.

He said: "We are talking with Rapha Varane and with Anthony Martial.

"I think that is an internal discussion between the club and the player.

"And we have triggered the options on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Hannibal Mejbri."

  • Frank plays down Toney exit

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has issued a hands off warning over striker Ivan Toney, who has been heavily tipped to leave the Bees this month.

Arsenal and Tottenham are said to be leading the race for the £80m-rated star.

He told Sky Sports: "He is a Brentford player, he is here.

"I can't see why we should sell him and I would love to have him here for a long time."

  • Prem club eye Liverpool hero

Liverpool icon Roberto Firmino is being linked with a shock return to the Premier League, according to talkSPORT.

Fulham have been "offered the chance" to sign the attacker following his poor form for Saudia Arabian side Al-Ahli.

Marco Silva's men are keen to seek a replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic following his summer departure.

Raul Jimenez has bagged four goals in his last four Premier League games, but it remains unclear whether he is a long-term solution to their problem up front.

Sheffield United were also interested in Firmino before they sacked Paul Heckingbottom and brought back Chris Wilder.

  • Prem trio eye non league talent

Crystal Palace, Wolves and Brentford are eyeing Bromley midfielder Ben Krauhaus.

SunSport understands ten clubs including Leicester, Norwich, Cardiff, Hull and Oxford all sent scouts to watch Krauhaus score twice in last Saturday's 5-1 win over Ebbsfleet.

The 19-year-old academy graduate has caught the eye and helped non-league Bromley into second spot in the National League behind leaders Chesterfield.

With spies galore visiting Hayes Lane, the club are braced for bids in the current transfer window for the central midfielder.

  • Man Utd target Chelsea flop

Manchester United are considering a shock move for former Chelsea forward Timo Werner, according to The Mirror.

Werner has only scored two goals in 14 appearances in all competitions this term, but United still think he could do a job in Manchester.

  • Birmingham plot Wayne Rooney replacement

Twenty candidates are in the running to be Birmingham's new manager following the sacking of Wayne Rooney.

The Blues axed the Manchester United legend after he won just two matches in 15 games.

Ex-Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray is set for talks later this week, claim the Daily Mail.

Reports also suggest that Frank Lampard is in the running.

He has a large enough profile to appeal to US owners Knighthead but it is unclear whether the Chelsea legend would want the job.

  • Man Utd explain Reguilon loan ending

Manchester United have revealed why they cut short Sergio Reguilon’s loan from Tottenham.

He played just 12 games for Erik ten Hag’s men and made little impact at Old Trafford.

And with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia set to return soon from their respective injuries, they do not feel Reguilon would be given sufficient game time during the second half of the campaign.

A club statement read: “Sergio fulfilled the role he was brought in for: to provide cover for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia while both were out with long-term injuries.

“While Luke has missed the past two games with a minor injury, the England international is expected back soon. Tyrell, meanwhile, is getting closer to a return from his knee injury.

“The versatile Diogo Dalot can also provide further cover at left-back.

“With fewer games in the second half of the season and injured players returning, there will be less opportunity for Sergio to play.

“It was decided it was in the best interests of all parties for Reguilon to return to Spurs.”

  • Bayern plot move for United target

Bayern Munich are reportedly lining up a move for Manchester United target Serhou Guirassy.

There has been a host of speculation surrounding Guirassy's future in recent weeks, with Manchester United said to be exploring the possibility of bringing him to Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, both Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are thought to be keen on a player who has a £15.1million release clause in his contract at Stuttgart despite only joining the club on a permanent basis last summer.

According to Bild, Bayern are huge admirers of Guirassy and are planning to make a move for him at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

  • Tottenham eye Serie A defender

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to submit a fresh proposal to sign Genoa star Radu Dragusin, as per the transfer journalist Rudy Galetti.

A few names have been mentioned as potential targets for the North London club with Jean-Clair Todibo being among them, but Dragusin has emerged as the primary option in recent times.

It has previously been reported that Tottenham have already opened formal talks with Genoa to sign Dragusin and they have already agreed personal terms with the Romanian.

It has also been suggested that Genoa want a fee of at least £26m to sell their star man but Spurs launched an opening offer of around £20m. However, the Serie A side rejected that proposal.

  • Potter targeted by Man Utd

Manchester United have informally sounded out Graham Potter with a view to the former Chelsea boss replacing Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

While appointing a sporting director and new CEO is a priority, there are strong question marks over Ten Hag’s future at the club.

INEOS would prefer to leave Ten Hag in place until at least the end of the season to see if United can turn around their form as the likes of Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez return to fitness.

But there is an acceptance that results of late cannot continue and ESPN say Potter has been ‘informally’ sounded out about his availability.

  • Liverpool deny Arsenal Jones interest

Liverpool are not aware of any interest from Arsenal regarding Curtis Jones, according to Anfield Watch.

Jones has developed into a key player for Jurgen Klopp over the last 12 months and is arguably now the preferred option on the left side of the manager's midfield three when available.

Some reports have claimed that Premier League rivals Arsenal have taken an interest in Jones ahead of a possible summer move. However, this is wide of the mark.

Those rumours were then fuelled by a report which claimed that Jones used to broadcast his boyhood fandom of the Gunners at the Reds' training ground as a youngster.

Anfield Watch understands that Liverpool are very much the homegrown star's club and that his intention is to keep performing and earning the manager's faith.

  • Maatsen close to Dortmund move

Chelsea are in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund over the sale of Ian Maatsen.

  • Toon eye Eddie Howe replacement

Newcastle are interested in making Girona boss Michel their next manager, according to Marca.

Howe, 46, guided Newcastle to the Champions League for the first time in 20 years by finishing fourth last term.

But with this season so far not going to plan, Toon chiefs are said to be looking elsewhere, with Michel under "serious consideration".

  • West Ham defender to leave

West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer is expected to travel to Monaco today ahead of a loan move to the French club.

The Hammers are close to agreeing a loan deal until the end of the season with Monaco paying £.9.5million to make the move permanent in the summer.

Kehrer, a German international, arrived from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of £10.1million in the summer of 2022, making 38 appearances in all competitions.

However, the defender has not started a single Premier League game this season and West Ham are keen to cut wages this month ahead of any potential incomings.

Said Benrahma could also leave the club, with Moyes keen to bring in a new left-winger.
