Nintendo Switch owners discover three game-changing tricks to save their battery life and gain extra play time
SUFFERING with a fast-draining Nintendo Switch battery?
The tech expert behind the Out of the Box page on TikTok has urged Nintendo Switch users to make a trio of Settings changes to gain extra play time on the road.
Brightness
First thing's first, you want to be able to manually adjust your screen brightness.
This way, the Nintendo Switch isn't automatically turning the brightness all the way up and draining your power.
"Go ahead and double click into Settings," the TikToker explains.
"We're going to go to screen brightness, turn off auto-brightness and turn that brightness scale down.

"That's going to conserve lots of battery, giving you extra play time."
Vibration
The second thing you want to disable is vibration, as this is a fairly unnecessary feature that can really drain the juice out of a Switch console.
"Scroll down to Controllers and Sensors [in Settings]. Go ahead and turn that vibration off," he continues.
"Again, this is going to conserve battery and give you a couple extra minutes of play time."
Aeroplane mode
Lastly, for long trips you have the trusty aeroplane feature.
Switching on aeroplane mode can save the battery on most connected devices, including your iPhone or Android.
"If you're on a long road trip or aeroplane ride, go ahead and turn on aeroplane mode," the expert adds.
"This is going to cut off communication from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. "
