  • Sancho could be loaned to Juventus

Jadon Sancho could be loaned to Juventus according to reports in Italy.

  • Stuart Pearce backs Guehi move

England legend Stuart Pearce has told FootyAccumulators that Marc Guehi should sign for Manchester United.

He said: "I think Lisandro Martinez is deemed as the number one central defender for Manchester United but Marc Guehi has done his chances of joining him no harm at Euro 2024.

"I think he's had a brilliant season for his club .Whenever he steps out for England, I've been quite impressed with him. He has a little bit of pace and he reads the game extremely well.

"Physically he's not got big stature for a central defender but I think he makes up for that with his pace and his knowledge of the game. So he's done himself no harm of landing a big transfer and it'll be no surprise to me if Palace get a lot of interest in him after the Euros."

  • Chelsea should think carefully about signing Marcus Rashford - Pat Nevin

Former Chelsea winger and pundit Pat Nevin has told Genting Casinos that Marcus Rashford would be a risky signing for Chelsea.

He said: "There is a fear when I think about Marcus Rashford going to Chelsea, he is a good player but he had a number of difficulties last season and he hasn't looked quite himself.

"You're also going to have to pay a huge amount of money for Rashford and Chelsea can't afford to make more mistakes financially, that’s no secret.

"You need to make sure you do this right. I have no idea what sort of Chelsea team we could see by the start of next season, could Mudryk be gone too? There's a million different things.

"The upside for every Chelsea fan is that there are good players there."

  • Southgate to stay as England boss?

The FA will attempt to persuade Gareth Southgate to stay on as England manager after Euro 2024 - even if he doesn't take home the trophy.

England booked a spot in the European Championship final with a 2-1 win over Netherlands on Wednesday.

According to The Times, the FA are desperate to keep him on board regardless of the result in Sunday's final against Spain.

Southgate, who has been linked with the Manchester United job, has a contract with England until December, but FA chief executive Mark Bullingham plans to hold fresh talks with him at the end of Euro 2024.

Any new deal would take him through to the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico - which would mark his 10th year in the job.

It was previously suggested that Southgate could step down after this summer's tournament.

PSG anchorman Manuel Ugarte remains a serious option.

But with manager Erik ten Hag a fan of Fiorentina's Amrabat, Ashworth is prepared to consider attempting a new deal for the Moroccan.

United had a buy option on Amrabat of £21.4million.

It's understood the Red Devils have ruled out activating that.

Fiorentina have given United until July 21 to make any new loan agreement.

  • Chin up for staying at West Ham

Whizkid Chinaza Nwosu has reportedly agreed a professional contract with West Ham – despite Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham making contact.

Football Insider say the midfielder will sign a deal with the Hammers when he turns 17 next year.

  • Jadon urged to cut ties

Jadon Sancho and Manchester United should separate permanently.

So says ex-England defender Glen Johnson, who also believes the unsettled wideman "prefers to be the main man in a smaller pond".

Johnson believes it would be better for everyone concerned if Sancho finally departs permanently this summer.

Old club Borussia Dortmund, where the 24-year-old shone back on loan, have reportedly been priced out of the race as he could cost £50million-plus.

But former Liverpool and Chelsea star Johnson told Paddy Power: “I think Manchester United and Jadon Sancho should shake hands and call it quits.

"He’s got some talent, but he hasn’t shown it at all at United.

" I don’t know what it is – I don’t know whether he gets on with the players, the manager, or likes Manchester, but as soon as he went back to Borussia Dortmund, he looked like a world-beater again.

It’s almost like he prefers to be the main man in a smaller pond."

“It’s very rare that when the first couple of years are so bad, players can bring it round. He can move on to have a good career, and United can get some money back to sign a player that wants to be there.”

  • Sporting stand firm on Viktor

  • Guirassy faces anxious wait

Serhou Guirassy, who was linked to Arsenal and Manchester United earlier this summer, is sweating on his move to Borussia Dortmund.

The German giants are expected to assess the Stuttgart forward further after a medical uncovered a possible injury problem.

The former Rennes and Lille man, 28, opted for Dortmund ahead of Prem suitors, even though Bundesliga runners-up Stuttgart finished three places above them.

  • United tipped for third Branthwaite offer

Manchester United are expected to launch offer No3 for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Everton rejected the Red Devils' opening bid of £35million for the England Euro 2024 fringe man.

Branthwaite is said to have accepted personal terms put forward by the Red Devils.

And transfer guru Fabrizio Romano says United remain in "absolutely active" contact with his representative.

  • D-day delay for Spain's Man Utd target

Dani Olmo's admirers have been given another five days to trigger his £55million release clause — thanks to Spain’s run to the Euros final.

Initially, Olmo's release clause was meant to expire on Monday.

But that has been extended until a week tomorrow due to Spain reaching Sunday’s final.

Manchester City showed big interest in Olmo, 26, last summer.

But they opted to sign Jeremy Doku from Rennes for £55m instead.

City are not understood to be after Olmo now.

But Liverpool and United are in the mix, as are Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Olmo’s preferred position is behind the striker as a No10.

But he can also play in a variety of other areas, including both flanks.

  • Hammers fending off Man Utd over whizkid

Along with new football gurus Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox, Ten Hag will look plunder the transfer market for quality bargains before embarking on a title push in the new Premier League campaign.

But change isn’t just happening in the board and dressing rooms as United look to sign Dutch duo Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt.

That’s because Ten Hag has also welcomed Red Devils legend Van Nistelrooy as one of two new assistants to his backroom staff.

The Premier League winner banged in 150 goals in five years at Old Trafford.

And he has since picked up vital managerial experience with Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.

Also joining as the second assistant is Rene Hake, who was in charge of Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles last season.

He and Van Nistelrooy have arrived as replacements for coach Benni McCarthy and No2 Mitchell van der Gaag, with the latter quitting his post to pursue a new challenge as a manager.

Viktor Gyokeres' Premier League admirers still face a towering £84million hurdle.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been mentioned in connection with the ex-Coventry star.

Gyokeres, 26, finished 2023-24 with 43 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.

  • 'Utd ponder another Sofyan loan'

Talk of Manchester United trying to bring Sofyan Amrabat back on loan is hotting up.

TEAMtalk say United's new sporting director Dan Ashworth has midfield as one of his transfer priorities.

France's top young defensive talent could pick between Manchester United and Real Madrid.

United reportedly already have a deal of around £42.26m agreed in principle with Yoro's French club.

But it was thought he had a preference for Real.

However, the Spanish giants have yet to match the Red Devils' financial advances.

And as it stands Yoro is said to be coming to terms with the situation - meaning he could move to United imminently or wait and hope.

  • Man Utd and Bayern linked to Dutch hero Xavi

Xavi Simmons' thunderbolt goal couldn't fire the Netherlands to the Euro 2024 final - but might just speed up a transfer.

The PSG winger, 21, has been linked with Manchester United and Bayern Munich, as well as his loan club last season, RB Leipzig.

    Credit: Rex

The former PSV Eindhoven starlet thumped the Netherlands in front against England on Wednesday night.

But Harry Kane's controversial penalty and sub Ollie Watkins' last-minute laser put the Three Lions into Sunday's final with Spain.

It's understood Simons has more than hinted to PSG that he wants to move on this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Bayern and Leipzig are working on short-term deals.

And there's speculation over more interest from United - although midfield and central defence could be greater transfer priorities.

  • Red Devils 'still active' in Jarrad hunt

The Toffees reportedly scoffed at United's initial £35million approach for the 22-year-old, one of England's Euro 2024 fringe players.

    Credit: Alamy

And after claims of a second offer this week going the same way, the Red Devils are understood to be preparing what could be a final bid.

It's thought Branthwaite has already agreed personal terms with Old Trafford chiefs.

And transfer expert Fabrizio Romano insists contact between United and his agent are "absolutely active".

  • Brunch 'n broody

Harry Maguire hasn't had the summer he wanted.

But the Manchester United defender who missed out on England's Euro 2024 squad due to injury seems to taking it philosophically.

    Credit: Splash

Admittedly, that's a snap assessment based on pics of the 31-year-old strolling around the village of Hale in Trafford, Greater Manchester.

Maguire was spotted in a comfortable-looking grey tracksuit and white trainers by an eatery.

He smiled but also looked deep in thoughts in other moments - perhaps reflecting on his career situation.

Maguire might be contemplating a testing time back at United, where pre-season training has just started.

Boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly targeting new centre-backs, mainly Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt, although that's partly because of Raphael Varane's departure.
