Jay (@aesthetic.jy) has garnered over 2,300 followers on TikTok, where she shares DIY beauty tips.

She showed how voluminous her curls looked from different angles before sharing a tutorial for recreating her hair growth mask.

“Get your bananas, ripe ones are better,” read the text over the screen.

“Add some aloe vera.

“Dump that into the blender.”

She places two bananas and approximately two handfuls of aloe vera leaf gel into the blender.

The ingredients became a “gooey” brown texture that Jay said is perfect for detangling hair.

She used her hands to apply the mask starting from the roots and working throughout.

“Make sure you massage it in,” the text said.

“If you want your hair to grow fast, keep your hair healthy.

“A simple and lazy way to do that is by keeping your hair moisturized.

“Oil your ends whenever they feel dry. Oil your scalp before you shampoo and if you can, avoid harsh hair products.

“Give your roots love.”

Jay tied her hair into a bun and covered it with a shower cap after ensuring that it was thoroughly covered in the homemade mask.

She recommended letting it sit for 30 minutes to two hours to “lock in” all the moisture.

“I can’t stress this enough,” she said. “Try to massage your scalp with natural oils at least once a week, preferably before you shampoo.

“Add a leave-in conditioner after you shampoo. Moisturizing is key.”

Jay’s curly locks were visibly shiny after she washed out the haircare treatment.

“Let me know what y’all think,” she said.
