I found Anthropologie dupes at HomeGoods for so much less – save your money on a $550 mirror, they have it for $50
A DUPE detective has urged fans to stop splashing cash on expensive furnishings.
Save your money, she said, because she has found Anthropologie look-alikes at HomeGoods for a fraction of the cost.
One was a classic mirror with a price tag of $550.
She found its copycat version in HomeGoods for a crazy $50.
Flipdaddie (@flipdaddie) makes it her business to find cheaper items with high-end looks.
Her TikTok is all about "furniture flips, DIYs and dupes.”
As the cost of living continues to rise, there is a lot of interest and she has a following of 689,000.
In this post, she headed to the store to share some dupes with her audience.
“More designer home décor savings I found at HomeGoods," she said.
She was about to let her viewers in on a little-known secret.
“Massive furniture companies don’t want you to know that this $228 lamp from Anthropologie is also sold at HomeGoods for only $40," she added.
The Anthropologie Vivian Table Lamp was almost identical to its cheaper counterpart. Then she moved on to the next dupe.
“And this $550 Terrace Bar Cart from West Elm is also sold at HomeGoods for guess what? $100."
Finally, it was the turn of the classic, Gleaming Primrose overmantle mirror.
“Last but not least, everyone knows this $550 Anthropologie mirror can be found at any HomeGoods for only $50," she said.
There were subtle differences, but, notwithstanding closer examination, these were pretty good dupes.
“Save your money people," she said.
One commenter revealed her secret to tracking down look-alikes.
“I reverse image search all the items from West Elm, Crate & Barrel, etc and almost always find the exact item elsewhere for cheaper," they said.
Many in the comments section professed their love for the budget store.
"Love HomeGoods," was a typical response from many more.

But there was one dissenting voice in the wilderness.
“That lamp from Homegoods looks like it came from Homegoods," they said.
