Henderson, 33, signed for fellow Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard's Saudi side in the summer on a permanent move worth £12million.

Chelsea are weighing a shock transfer for Aston Villa ace Jhon Duran.

The Blues are in the market for a centre-forward with Nicolas Jackson absent due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

  • Phillips bid off

Newcastle have ruled out a swoop for Manchester City ace Kalvin Phillips this summer.

City are demanding a staggering £7million fee to let Phillips go out on loan to the Magpies.

According to The Telegraph, the Toon can’t afford that figure due to Financial Fair Play issues.

Thus, Eddie Howe's side is no longer in the race for the midfielder, who has other suitors at home and abroad.

  • Chelsea moving for Gyokeres

Chelsea made an offer to sign Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres in the January transfer window.

Gyokeres has been in scintillating form since his summer move from Coventry with 20 goals and 10 assists in 24 games.

According to Record, the Blues have made an opening bid worth £74million for the centre-forward.

That bid has been rejected by Sporting, who are unwilling to let the Sweden international leave for less than his £87m release clause.

  • Jose Mourinho dismissal

Here's a reminder of everything that's taken place after Jose Mourinho's dismissal at Roma.

Mourinho struggled in Serie A, finishing sixth twice in his two full seasons in charge.

The Giallorossi are now ninth in the table after winning only one of their last six league matches, of which they lost three.

Mourinho was spotted leaving the club's training ground after his dismissal with tears in his eyes while fans gave him a touching farewell.

  • Man Utd to buy golf club

Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Manchester United revolution is in full swing with the club set to leave their Carrington training ground.

The new ownership believe Carrington is at full capacity and want a new place with more space to expand into.

According to the Daily Mail, United are in talks to buy a golf club in the South Manchester area.

Any site would require a minimum of 100 acres of buildable land in order to be suitable.

And the Red Devils have already held talks to buy High Legh Golf Club in Knutsford.

According to most recent reports, no agreement has been reached yet.

  • The Jhon for us

Chelsea are considering a shock transfer for Aston Villa star Jhon Duran.

Arsenal’s position as favourites to land Everton star Amadou Onana has been boosted by claims he is open to moving.

The Toffees want a fee in the region of £50million for Onana during the January transfer window.

But transfer insider Ben Jacobs claims the 22-year-old is now ready to consider a transfer, having previously shown loyalty to the Merseysiders.

The midfielder has also been linked with Manchester United during the ongoing winter market.

  • Ten Hag targets De Ligt

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is “very interested” in bringing Bayern Munich star Matthijs de Ligt to Old Trafford.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Ten Hag is very interested in reuniting with De Ligt whom he coached during their time at Ajax.

The report adds that the centre-back may become a top target for the Red Devils in the summer if the Dutch tactician remains at the club beyond the end of the season.

The Netherlands international is likely to leave Bayern if another defender is brought in at the Allianz Arena.

  • West Ham snub Benrahma offer

West Ham have rejected a loan offer from Marseille for winger Said Benrahma.

The Hammers have been open to selling the winger this month, though a knee injury to Lucas Paqueta has made an exit less likely.

French side Marseille proposed a loan deal until the end of the season with a view to making the move permanent.

West Ham want up to £25million for the former Brentford man, who has attracted interest from Lyon.

  • Barco confirms Brighton move

Argentine wonderkid Valentin Barco has confirmed he is joining Brighton this month and is hoping to hit the ground running, reports SunSport's Jack Rosser.

The Seagulls are yet to announce the move but have agreed a £7.8million deal with South American side Boca Juniors.

Barco told ESPN: “I’m already a Brighton player. It’s a totally different kind of football than here. I’ll have to adapt, I hope it’s quick. Wherever the team and the coach need me, I’m going to do it.

Premier League champions Manchester City had been keen on the 19-year-old but Brighton have an immense track record of success with South American talent.

Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister both arrived at The Amex for bargain fees before being sold on for a huge profit last summer.

  • Brentford's Reguilon move

Brentford are closing in on a loan move for Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon, reports SunSport's Tom Barclay.

The Spaniard, 27, had initially been hesitant over a switch to the Gtech and was hoping for a move back to Spain.

That was after representing some of Europe's elite clubs in Real Madrid, Tottenham , Atletico Madrid and Manchester United, where he spent the first half of the season on loan.

But Reguilon appears to have since been convinced of a move to West London, where he should get regular game-time given Rico Henry's absence through injury.

Reguilon returned from Old Trafford earlier this month having made 12 appearances while Luke Shaw was out injured.

But he is not in Ange Postecoglou's plans so will be allowed to go out temporarily again, with Thomas Frank's Bees his expected destination.

  • Newcastle won't move for Phillips

Newcastle have ruled out a move for Manchester City ace Kalvin Phillips this summer.

Thus, Newcastle are no longer in the race for the midfielder, who has other suitors at home and abroad.

  • Chelsea moving for Gyokeres

Chelsea have made an offer to sign Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres.

Gyokeres has been in scintillating form since his summer move from Coventry with 20 goals and ten assists in 24 appearances.

That offer has been rejected by Sporting, who are unwilling to let the Sweden international leave for less than his £87m release clause.

  • Mourinho 'never' returning to Chelsea

Chelsea hero Pat Nevin insists there is "not a chance in a million" Jose Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge.

    Nevin told OCB Scores:

In terms of the plan laid out by the owners, there’s not a chance in a million Mourinho comes back. If you look at the plan of the club, that’s not Jose Mourinho. It’s not his style. He does other things which are fantastic but the last time he built up a young group like that was Porto. That’s not his methodology.

If the club did go down that route I would be surprised but I wouldn’t be gobsmacked because there are things that the club have done which doesn’t fit. I don’t think it would make sense at all for Mourinho to come back as Chelsea manager but does that mean it won’t happen? Who knows!

If it was me, it wouldn’t be Jose Mourinho I would be looking at as manager. [Mauricio] Pochettino is great, me saying that might hurt some Chelsea fans. At the end of last season when Chelsea were looking for a manager, Ange Postecoglou was the man I wanted because of what he had done in Scotland. Those types of managers are difficult to find because you need a manager that’s positive and can get the best out of young players.

  • Mourinho's last days at Roma

Jose Mourinho hit out at officials and managers towards the end of his Roma tenure, which was marred by ill discipline as he received three red cards last season and three more this term.

Mourinho was sent off against rivals Lazio, Atalanta and Monza, after which he told opposite number Raffaele Palladino: “You talk a lot and then you cry.”

Last term, the Portuguese tactician tore into Serie A whistler Daniele Chiffi after claiming to have "worn a wire" in order to protect himself from sanctions.

The ex-Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham boss said of Chiffi: "He is the worst referee I have met in my life. He is the worst. Technically he’s horrible. Zero empathy. Zero communication. Zero awareness.”

As his tenure began to unravel, the Italian media also found themselves in the former Real Madrid manager's firing line.

Following a 2-1 win over Sassuolo last month he refused to speak Italian after the match, despite being fluent and instead he bizarrely only spoke Portuguese, with an interpreter translating for confused local reporters.

A few weeks later things spiralled even further, with the 60-year-old snubbing the media altogether after his red card against Atalanta.

  • Hodgson confirms Phillips interest

Roy Hodgson admits Crystal Palace would love to sign Kalvin Phillips on loan.

Roy said: "He’s a good player. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a name that’s out there. All we know, like most other clubs, is that there is a possibility that Man City will either sell him or loan him.

“If they are purely going to sell him, then I don’t think we will be in the market. If they’re going to loan him, I would like to think that we could possibly put our hand up and push ourselves forward.

“What we could then of course offer is the chance to play regular football in the Premiership in the build-up to what will be a very important summer for England and for him."

  • Radu confirms Bayern drag race

It has been claimed the trial will kick off in the autumn, which means City may not learn their fate until the summer of 2025.

  • More misery for Toon

Newcastle could be without Joelinton for the rest of the season.

That's after they had ruled out a move for a potential replacement in Kalvin Phillips.

Joelinton's injury is feared to be worse than first thought.

But it could now force Eddie Howe to comply with Man City's demands of a £7million loan fee for Phillips.
