Five telltale signs Love Island’s Molly and Callum never actually split – as fans predict he’ll propose on the show
LOVE Island fans were left gobsmacked during the launch when Callum Jones and Molly Smith BOTH arrived as bombshells.
The former couple, who met on the show in 2020, split in September of last year and appeared blindsided to see each other in the villa.
In a shock move Callum then decided to couple up with Molly as they both admitted there could be unfinished business.
Those watching at home began speculating that their split might not be all that is seems and theories have started flying that the couple faked their break up to appear on the show and cash in.
But in a twist last night Molly snogged Chris Taylor – pouring water on the rumour flames.
Fans still think there is something fishy going on and are predicting an engagement by the end of the series. Here we look at the five clues that viewers think hint at fakery.

BREAK UP TIME
The Sun first told that Molly and Callum had split in September of last year and the pair have repeatedly said on the show that they have been single for six months.
Viewers are suspicious that they called it quits so soon to the show – and claim they would have known that casting was about to start.
One person tweeted: “Separated in less than six months after three years together? I sense a PR stunt. Wouldn't be surprised if Callum and Molly end up engaged or something during the next five weeks.”
STILL ONLINE
Others viewers have spotted that Molly and Callum both have pictures of each other still on their Instagram accounts.
Molly also still has Callum pinned on TikTok – suggesting they are still on very good terms.
One person remarked: “So molly still has a pinned video with callum on tiktok. I'm calling a fake breakup.”
ACTING UP
Fans have been left questioning the way Molly and Callum are acting on screen.
Someone has suggested that the break up doesn’t seem real, because the pair have been acting ‘wooden and fake’.
“This Callum X Molly arc is painful. They are not acting like a real broken up couple. So wooden. So fake,” moaned someone.
Someone else added: “The Callum and Molly drama doesn’t add up why does it look like they’re acting - they’re just laughing every minute.”
CASHING IN
Others have speculated that the former couple could be on the show for the money – and are in fact planning a very lavish wedding.
“Hear me out Molly and Callum aren’t really broken up they faked it for the series to win and use the money to get married he’s gonna propose on the show,” remarked one.
Another said: “If Molly and Callum did 'break up' just to come onto the show and win the 50K, then that's pretty smart. They can get engaged on the show, and have a wedding with the money!”
