Woman, 58, dies & another woman, 39, hospitalised in leafy Worcester street as cops arrest man, 50, over ‘murder’
A MURDER probe has been launched after a woman was found dead and another was left fighting for her life.
Cops raced to a leafy Worcester street around 8.30pm yesterday and tragically found the body of a 58-year-old woman.
Another woman, 39, was found in a critical condition and raced to hospital.
West Mercia Police said she has "life-threatening" injuries.
Cops swarmed Haresfield Close and arrested a man, 50, on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding of the Murder Investigation Unit said: “I understand that incidents of this nature can be alarming, but I would like to reassure the local community that this was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.

"Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has sadly lost her life.”
