Smith hit an epic nine-darter during his clash with the Dutchman, who will be looking to become a four-time world champion this time around.

But Smith is hoping he can defend his title, and all the usual suspects will be in the frame to win the coveted prize in London at the start of 2024.

Players like Peter Wright, Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price will all be in the frame to pick up Darts' biggest prize.
