19 hospitals across the UK are expected to get these special deliveries.

Starbucks fans have taken to social media to share their excitement over the freebie.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one NHS worker said: "Thank you @Starbucks for my free coffee - available to NHS workers today!"

Another wrote: "Love a freebie. Thanks Starbucks!"

And a third added: "Don’t forget it’s free #NHS coffee day from @Starbucks,

"Just show your ID badge and be nice to the lovely baristas. Thanks for the morning treat"

Alex Rayner, general manager at Starbucks UK, said: “We want to thank NHS staff across the UK for all the work they do and as a token of our appreciation, we are bringing back the free tall beverage on December 6 for the fourth year running."

Starbucks has continued to offer 10% off to NHS staff and other frontline workers all year round since 2018.
