My midsize Asos haul was a very mixed bag, the satin dress was perfect for a wedding but the zip on #2 was a nightmare

A FASHIONISTA donned a selection of glamorous dresses as she searched for styles to flatter a midsize figure.

She looked in good spirits as she shared the items in her Asos shopping haul, but admitted that she was torn about which ones to keep.

Emma Kehoe (@emmakehoe4) has over 8,600 followers on TikTok, where she shares fashion inspiration for curvy women.

She took to the social media platform to share outfit ideas for events throughout the festive season after going on a shopping spree.

“I got lots of stuff from Asos let’s do a realistic try-on haul,” she said.

“First up is this gorgeous satin black dress,” she said. “I think this would be perfect for a wedding.

“I actually wore this last year to a wedding and it was divine.”

Emma decided to try on the black dress after initially holding it up on a hanger as she stood in a robe.

Asos’s satin batwing midi dress with drape skirt costs $94.99 and is sold in sizes ranging from 0 to 14.

“Okay I had a vision, I put on some glitzy earrings and shoes,” Emma said. “What do you think?

“I think this could be really nice for a black-tie wedding.

“The only thing is you can see it’s a little bit short so you’d need to put a tack in it, but I do think it’s really nice.”

Emma changed into a batwing wrap dress with sequin embellishments which has been reduced from $109 to just $54.50.

Asos customers have penned mixed reviews about the pale gold dress and given it a star rating of just 2.9.

Emma frantically tried to make the dress look flattering as she struggled to zip the back up without anyone to help her.

“Now don’t worry, I feel like it’s one of these creations that have to take shape,” she said.

“It’s so hard when you don’t have anyone to zip your back up, or zip you up. No pun intended.

“I’m caught in the zip, oh my God.”

Tying the waist, she continued: “This is supposed to go across and cinch you in so pull it.

“I think this is nice. This can be for any age group.

“I don’t know if it’s for me personally. You see it fits really well and I love that it pulls there [the waist].

“Hmm keep or return?”

Emma finished the shopping haul by trying on a satin wrap dress which is currently reduced from $100 to $70.

It has proven popular with Asos customers and is now only left in stock in sizes two to eight.

“Last up is this blazer dress,” she said. “I love the color, it’s rust and a nice length.

“The blazer is really comfy. I think I got a size 14 [US 10] in this and I would’ve gone smaller but I really like this.

“I would wear it with a gold shoe, glitzy bag, and glitzy earrings.”

Emma decided to put the shoes on after initially just holding them in her hands as she shared her styling idea.

“The gold shoes and the gold bag featuring this of course, what do we think?” she asked posing in the dress.

“Some people don’t like love bling bling. I don’t know if I’m mad on it so yeah.”

Emma said she didn’t know what to keep or return and encouraged viewers to share their opinions in the comment section.
