Hong Kong police hunt for 2 men who battered teacher over suspected love triangle dispute
Hong Kong police have launched a citywide manhunt for two men who assaulted a female teacher in a secondary school in Kwai Chung by punching her multiple times in the face.
A source familiar with the case said officers were investigating whether the attack on Wednesday was linked to an alleged love triangle involving the 45-year-old woman and her boyfriend, a firefighter in the midst of a divorce.
“A preliminary investigation suggests her boyfriend is in the middle of divorce proceedings,” the insider said, adding that the teacher and her boyfriend’s wife had recently got into a dispute.
The attack took place at the Lions Clubs International Tseung Chui King College on Hing Shing Road in Kwai Chung at around 8am, about half an hour after the teacher was driven to school by her boyfriend.
“The two attackers rushed into the school, went to the first floor, and assaulted the victim as she exited the teachers’ room,” the source said, adding that no weapon was used in the incident.
