I work in an Amazon warehouse for £14 an hour & it’s so easy, I only have one task to do but it affects every order

WHAT if you could get paid to do practically nothing - whilst also listening to your favourite podcast?

Well, this is the reality for one woman who reportedly works for the online retailer giant, Amazon, sorting out parcels in the warehouse.

According to the dedicated employee, only known as Pretty Girl on TikTok, she gets paid a generous $17.50 - or just a little over £14 - an hour for practically nothing.

During the typical working day, the young woman, from Maryland, the USA, will stand by the moving conveyor belt and simply slightly push the dozens of cardboard boxes coming her way.

The easy task ensures the ordered goodies don't fall off the belt and make it further into the delivery process, rather than disappearing or arriving damaged.

As well as wearing special rubber gloves, she demonstrated in the video, the warehouse worker also has to sport special neon bright vest and a pass with her name and photo.

However, whilst the job may sound like a dream for many - especially if you want to do the bare minimum - there is one negative aspect, she revealed.

According to the Amazon employee, standing by the belt all day long and not really doing much gets boring after some time - which is why she's cut her working time to just four hour-long shifts.

Although many of her colleagues listen to either music or podcasts, Pretty Girl admitted that the ''long ones will drive you crazy''.

If you're looking to change your career in 2024, the worker - whose official position it called ''straightener'' - said the company was looking to expand and there were plenty of other opportunities available.

Does this sound your dream job? Well, it does for thousands of social media users who raced to comments to find out more.

One wondered: ''where do I apply becauseeeee......''

Another said they wouldn't mind the role - however, it wasn't totally ideal in their eyes.

''It’s easy but my problem would be how boring it is I wouldn’t be motivated to keep going back because I'm so bored.''

Someone else agreed, writing: ''Working at Amazon easy asf [as f**k] for good pay it’s just the standing in the same place that gets me.''

''As long as I could listen to music or podcasts… COUNT ME IN,'' another chimed in.

''That is a far from easy job. The mental strength it would take is highly underrated. Please tell me they let you listen to music,'' a viewer added.
