I scooped £90k in Postcode Lottery – the first thing I’m buying only costs £180 but I’ve wanted it for ages

A WOMAN who won £90,000 in the Postcode Lottery has said the first thing she is going to buy only costs £180 but she has wanted it for ages.

Jennifer was getting her hair cut in her best friend's kitchen when she found out she had won £90,000.

Jennifer, from Harlow in Essex, knew straight away what she wanted to splash her windfall on. A Ninja Air Fryer - to cook chicken and chips.

The kitchen accessory is currently on sale with Argos for £180. The mum-of-three said: "There's two drawers, we can do both."

Now ambulance emergency care assistant Jennifer can't wait to celebrate Christmas with her family.

She said, "I'm such a Mrs Christmas. My sister just flew home from
Dubai yesterday. She lives out there, so we'll get to see her and the kiddies."

Jennifer is currently awaiting an operation after breaking her ankle in February, but her win has put a smile on her face again as she plans her spending with water-softener engineer hubby Michael.

She said: "I kept saying to my husband, 'Let's just sit at the thousand and anything better than that is going to be amazing.' I've got to phone him and he's going to be like, 'What?!"

Some of her Jennifer's neighbours who all share the postcode CM18 6QT are now planning exotic holidays after the £90,00 windfall.

Marion, an operating department practitioner in the town's Princess Alexandra Hospital, said, "We love travelling. We'd like to go to the Maldives and Australia and maybe look to take a bit longer with our holidays.

"I feel sick, excited and overwhelmed."

It comes after an OAP secured £333,000 on the Postcode Lottery but was told she would only take home a third because of an age-old pact.

And in Birmingham, a great gran-of-five bagged £111,111 as part of a £1m win amongst her and eight neighbours.

Joan Buckingham revealed what her lucky charm was ever since she bought the first one a decade ago.

And one group of neighbours on a Manchester estate won £3.2million between them this summer.
