I found out my boyfriend was my cousin after 6 months of dating – it doesn’t bother me at all & we still got married
A WOMAN has shared that she still chose to get married to her husband after finding out that they were cousins, six months into dating.
Kenna Hags shared the revelation via a video posted to her TikTok channel, @kennahags, which has garnered an impressive 1.6m views.
The TikToker captioned her video with "Just Utah things" alongside a number of hastags including 'cousin marriage' and 'cousins dating'.
In the video, the couple can be seen kissing and laughing with each other, apparently unfazed by the fact that they share DNA.
As the couple laugh and joke in the video, 'Sweet Home Alabama' by Lynyrd Skynrd plays in the background.
In a second video, Kenna confirmed that the couple aren't first cousins, but are distantly related.

She didn't reveal their exact relation, so they could be second, third or even fourth cousins.
In Utah, where the 21 and 25 year old couple are from, it is illegal to marry your first cousin but you can marry a more distant relation, such as a second cousin.
However, in the UK, it is actually legal to marry your first cousin (your parent's siblings' kids).
Cousin marriage has been linked to children being born with birth defects.
The young couple appear to be very happy together, and have shared videos of them discussing having children together in the future.
TikTok users raced to the comments section of Kenna's video to share their thoughts on her revaltion.
One user said: "What in the Game of Thrones?"
Another user said: "Girl…. You could not torture this information from me."
A third user added: "That’s a good way to save money. Family reunion and wedding at the same time."
A fourth person chimed in: "I found out I’m cousins with my ex, I'm glad that one didn’t last".
