Mercedes unveils plan for $1billion ultra-lux 65-storey tower tall Dubai tower with apartments costing up to $10m each

  1. Burj Khalifa, UAE
    At 2,717 ft tall, the structure in Dubai has been the tallest since 2009. It broke multiple world records, including world's largest light and sound show staged on a single building.
  2. Merdeka 118, Malaysia
    Located in the capital Kuala Lumpur, this building is a megatall skyscraper spanning 2,227 ft height. It is also the tallest building in Southeast Asia and Malaysia. The spire of the building was finally completed in 2022.
  3. Shanghai Tower, China
    Synonymous to the name, it is located in Shanghai and is the tallest building in China at 2,073 ft. It is also the tallest and largest LEED platinum certified building in the world since 2015. The LEED is awarded to green structures that are environmentally sustainable.
  4. Abraj Al-Bait Clock Tower, Saudi Arabia
    A government-owned complex of seven skyscraper hotels in Mecca is aimed at catering the pilgrims and its tallest tower stands at 1,972 ft. It is also the sixth-tallest freestanding structure in the world.
  5. Ping An International Finance Centre, China
    At 1,966 ft tall, this skyscraper was completed in 2017 and is the second tallest building in China. It is also the second largest skyscraper in the world by floor area and holds the record for having the highest observation deck in a building.

6. Lotte World Tower, Seoul, Korea

Completed in 2016 the tower stands 1,821 ft tall and used to hold the title as the fourth tallest building in the world before it was knocked into 6th place.

It is a Massive 123-floor skyscraper housing a luxury hotel & an observation deck with breath-taking views.

7. One World Trade Center, New York City

Taking more than 13 years to build, tne World Trade Center became the tallest structure in New York City in 2012, when it surpassed the height of the Empire State Building.

It is 1,776ft tall and has the same name as the  as the North Tower of the original World Trade Center, which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

8. Guangzhou CTF Finnance Centre, China

Completed in 2016 this building is the It is the tallest completed building in Guangzhou and the third-tallest in China.

Although it doesn't hold this spot alone and is excactly the same height as the next building on the list.

It's 1,739 ft tall and is a mixed-use skyscraper, housing a shopping mall, offices, apartments, and a hotel.

9. Tianjin CTF Finance Centre, Tianjin, China

Opening its doors in 2019 after taking six years to build, the tower stands at 1,739 ft tall.

It houses a hotel, serviced apartments and offices and has 97 floors.

It is described by som.com as "a groundbreaking model of material and structural efficiency."

10. CITIC Tower Beijing, China

The 109-story 1,732 ft building is the tallest in the city, surpassing the China World Trade Center Tower III by 620 ft.

The building is is the corporate headquarters of CITIC Pacific Ltd and is also the headquarters of another development partner, Kerry Group.

CITIC Tower gets its nick name “China Zun” because its shape is like an ancient vessel “Zun”.
