Not only this, but the teacher, who is called Taylor and has taught kids for the past eight years, also disclosed the seven presents they would prefer instead.

From coffee gift cards to cute plants, the teacher shared her viral clip online with the caption ‘Skip out on the mugs this year for your kid's teachers and try one of these gift ideas instead!’

She shared that the first gift she would love to receive are personalised teacher bracelets.

Not only this, but she’s also a fan of gifts that make her laugh, including a candle she previously received that says ‘thanks for putting up with my kid’.

In addition to this, the teacher beamed: “I absolutely love it when my students give me plants because it's the gift that keeps on growing and I can remember them from year to year.”

She also highlighted that classroom decor and functional things are a win, as she continued: “I've also really enjoyed classroom decor because I normally wouldn't buy that for myself.

“Functional things that are cute like this jar are amazing.”

That’s not all, as the woman then shared that teachers love “fun school supplies” like coloured pens or “cute personalised pens”.

I’m mum-shamed for buying my son one Christmas present, I’m not wasting money on cr-- when he doesn’t know or care who Santa is

And finally, the content creator claimed: “Teachers also love gift cards of any kind, especially coffee ones.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @moms, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and racked up 3.9 million views.
