Controversial Channel 4 dating show for VIRGINS finally given the green light after bosses overcome major obstacle

BOSSES on a new dating show for virgins have finally managed to recruit enough of them to get on TV.

Channel 4 has spent more than a year trying to find sexually innocent Brits willing to do the deed on camera.

But the programme, called The Intimacy Retreat, has now got enough virgins to proceed.

A source said: “Nobody saw this coming. Who’d have thought it would be so hard to find up-for-it youngsters?

“Rylan Clark has managed to get ten contestants to live entirely in the nude for his new show Dating Naked, there’s fully-blown orgies on Open House, and Naked Attraction has had Brits getting their bits out on air for years.

“But producers just couldn’t reel them in.

“It’s been a long slog, with casting limping on since July 2023, so everyone is relieved the show has finally got the green light.”

Bosses were able to finally entice enough applicants by broadening its criteria - saying participants only had to “identify” as a virgin to take part.

The application had a section for details of sexual exploits “if any”.

It also asked: “Do you consider yourself a virgin?”

The programme will be set in a Love Island-style villa in the Mediterranean.

The team behind it hoped to coach a cast of beginners as they learn life-changing skills about intimacy, face their sexual fears and find confidence to do the deed.

Sexologists will guide them through their journeys - with the hope some might choose to lose their virginity on TV.

Producers said: “It will be a six-part series that follows adults who are virgins (or identify as virgins) as they learn skills in the art of intimacy.”

The Intimacy Retreat should now air next year.
