I made my three kids ‘jingle baskets’ with a Dollar Tree Santa bucket, there were so many cute options for $1.25
A BUSY mom of three has shared a tip to create a festive jingle basket to keep kids entertained in December.
The Dollar Tree Santa bucket contains so many options for only $1.25 per item.
The smashing idea comes from Lauren (@hellolaurenashley) a mom of three.
She's learned to distill what it takes to keep kids busy, amused, and creative.
Her TikTok is devoted to all things mom life, mom hacks, routines, and recipes.
This post focused on something very festive: “Jingle baskets for my kids to give them on December 1," she said.
Although she chose to gift them at the start of the month, they'd make a great stocking alternative or extra gift.
Her shopping basket was fit to burst on her Dollar Tree haul, with a few items thrown in from Target.
“The Dollar Tree has so many things for kids. So many crafts and activities," she said.
She found the perfect container for her gift bounty.
"I found the cute Santa buckets from [Dollar Tree] and I just knew I had to make them a cute holiday basket.
"The plates and cups, $3, the pajamas, $8, and the blanket are from Target. For everything else run to your Dollar Tree," she said.
But all the other items were a bargain: “Everything was $1.25.
"These are all things that I would have given them throughout the season anyway," she explained.
“So I thought why not make a cute little basket? I went to Dollar Tree and saw this Santa bucket. I thought it was so cute and so cheap."
She chose a wide variety of other gifts to add to the increasingly full bucket.
“I got them a ton of coloring books and crafts, and some hot cocoa," she said of just a few of the items she bagged.
“The Dollar Tree was just stocked with so any cute things.
“I’m so excited to give it to them. I also love the buckets. Because I feel like they're going to use them throughout the season."
There was a lot to look forward to: “The Santa blanket has a beard connected to it and it is the funniest thing ever."
Commenters liked her choices.
