I tried a viral DIY Korean face mask for ‘glass skin’ – it’s so good, the secret recipe is just four ingredients
A HAIR and beauty fan has finally succumbed to the appeal of a viral DIY Korean face mask.
The benefits of this skin-care method are said to result in "glass skin."
It's so good and this secret recipe uses just four humble ingredients.
That means it is cheap, and non-invasive too.
Tanisha Ahuja (@skincarebytanisha) is a skincare and haircare enthusiast.
She has 78,000 followers on her TikTok, where she tries out a smorgasbord of skin care treatments.
This lady has tried everything, including tumeric facemasks, to DIY coffee eye masks.
This time it was the turn of a skin-care method that has taken the internet by storm.
Social media bulges at the seams with content producers trying this ancient method out.
Tanisha was the latest to give it a go: “Making viral Korean beauty rice face mask to get glass skin," she said in her post. "For healthy, soft skin."
First, she prepared her facepaste. She boiled a cup of rice in 1.5 cups of water.
Once it was cooled, the rice was placed in a blender, with one to two tablespoons of milk and one tablespoon of honey, and ground to a fine paste.
This can be left in a fridge for between three and four days.
“Leave on face for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water, followed by moisturizer," she said.
She was thrilled with the results: “I wish I knew this Korean beauty’s glass skin secret rice face mask before."
Tanisha was beginning to understand the appeal of this viral hit.
“I finally understood the value and realized how good this face mask is for the skin," she wrote.
There were so many benefits, aside from glass skin.
“It drastically reduces the occurrence of acne. And rice water is rich in antioxidants and is an excellent skin-brightening ingredient," she said, her complexion glowing.
