Dancing On Ice’s Amber Davies lands major Coronation Street role seven years after Love Island win
DANCING On Ice star Amber Davies has bagged herself a 'leading role' in Coronation Street, according to reports.
The West End performer, 27, is said to have landed a main part in the ITV1 soap after impressing show bosses.
Amber, who found fame in the 2017 series of Love Island, will join Corrie this summer, MailOnline has stated.
It comes after the star reportedly lost out on a role in the soap to another actress 18 months ago.
A source told the publication: "This is like a dream come true for her, Amber can’t believe it, she is so excited."
Amber has had her sights set on a career in the arts since she was a child.

At 16, she was awarded a scholarship to train in musical theatre at the Urdang Academy in London.
She later worked as a dancer for London nightclub Cirque Le Soir and even auditioned for The X Factor, however she was unsuccessful.
In 2017, Amber won the third series of Love Island alongside her then-boyfriend Kem Cetinay.
But despite her TV success as a reality star, she returned to her acting career once she was out of the villa.
In 2019, Amber landed a leading role in the West End musical 9 To 5: The Musical. She has since performed in Bring It On: The Musical and Pretty Woman.
Last year, she took on the role as Marty McFly's mother Linda Baines in Back To The Future: The Musical, and it even led to a cameo on US reality show The Kardashians.
Amber is currently competing in this year's Dancing On Ice with professional skater Simon Proulx-Sénécal.
On Sunday, the pair performed a Barbie-inspired routine during the competition's Movie Week.
The pair earned the highest score of the series so far with an impressive 31 points out of a possible 40.
