A BBC BREAKFAST favourite was missing from the sofa this morning just weeks after sparking health concerns.
The flagship morning programme is typically hosted by Jon Kay and Sally Nugent at the start of the week.
But viewers tuned in to discover Sally had been replaced on the iconic red sofa.
Instead Jon, 53, hosted the show alongside Beeb presenter Sarah Campbell.
The pair brought viewers the latest news from across the country.
It's not the first time Sarah has fronted the show and recently stepped in for Sally, 51.

The mum-of-one was forced to take time away from the sofa after being struck down with the flu.
Fans had watched as Sally was hoarse while reading the news and had a Lemsip beside her in the studio.
While she was a trooper and still turned up for work, viewers had urged her to get rest.
Both Jon and Sarah failed to mention Sally's absence from the show this morning.
Meanwhile, Carol Kirkwood was on weather duty as the beloved star brought BBC Breakfast fans the latest forecast.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
