I’m a budgeting whizz – here’s how to save £950 for next Christmas using a super easy trick – I managed it months before
MANY people get to this expensive time of year and wish they’d saved more throughout the year.
Thankfully one budgeting whizz shares the method she swears by for putting aside £950 ahead of the festive season - and it’s easy to copy.
Saver @cashbudgetbee shared how she uses a cash jar which has Christmas trees on the side which have different amounts stated on them.
The amounts on the trees range from £5 to £50, so you can put in cash as and when you have it.
Each one has five Christmas trees with the cash amounts, so five £5, five £10 shapes and so on, rising to five £50 ones.
When you have the money on the tree, you put the cash inside the jar and colour in the tree.

During the course of the year, you should aim to colour in all the trees, and you’ll be left with £950.
The budgeting whizz shared how she managed to fill her jar in October, which was perfect for buying presents, decorations and food.
In a video which has racked up numerous likes, she said: “Super excited this day has come.
“I’ve got £950 saved for Christmas, I’m super super chuffed.
“If I had done this via the bank, it wouldn’t have worked because I would have seen the money and transferred it out.”
Many people were impressed with one saying: “Ooooh well done! I've been watching those little trees!”
Another added: “Well done.”
