BAFTAs 2025 updates: Hollywood stars prepare for red carpet in London as Conclave leads Film Award nominations
No William and Kate
Kensington Palace have confirmed the royal couple will not be taking to the red carpet at the star-studded event.
The ceremony takes place at the start of George, Charlotte and Louis’ half-term holiday from Lambrook school, meaning family time may be top of the agenda.
The Prince of Wales attended last year, but Princess Kate skipped the event due to her recovery from her planned abdominal surgery.
The couple have previously walked the red carpet together, including in 2023 and 2020.
Prince William, 42, has been president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Baftas) since taking on the position in 2010, succeeding the actor and director Richard Attenborough.
First arrivals
David Tennant and Jeff Goldblum have reportedly arrived at the red carpet ahead of the ceremony.
David is hosting the BAFTAs for the second year in a row.
Jeff is expected to play a piano during a tribute to the people that the film industry lost last year.
Jeff starred in the Wicked, which received seven nominations.
Who can we expect to see tonight?
Apart from the nominees, some Hollywood stars you might expect tonight include Pamela Anderson, Anna Kendrick, Camila Cabello, Joe Alwyn, Celia Imrie, James Norton, Selena Gomez, Jesse Eisenberg, Naomi Ackie, and Tom Felton.

One award winner has been revealed ahead of the event with the British Academy's highest honor, the Bafta Fellowship, going to actor and TV host Warwick Davis.
