X Factor favourite breaks silence on shock comeback when talent show returns to TV screens
X FACTOR superstar Rylan has teased that he would love to be involved in a reboot of the show if it were to happen.
The 35 year old said it would only make sense that he was a part of a potential revival programme when chatting to The Sun's TV Mag.
Rylan, who is soon to host Prime Video's new reality show Hot Mess Summer, rose to fame on the ITV singing competition in 2012 where he became the breakout star despite admittedly not being the strongest vocalist on the show.
Now, amid rumours of a show comeback, the TV presenter has confessed that he would definitely return to the programme in one way or another.
Chatting to The Sun's TV Mag, Rylan said: "It’s the show that I started out on so of course [I'd go back].
"I know Simon and the team and everyone, I’ve got a lot to thank for X Factor."

The X Factor has faced criticism over the past few years over its alleged treatment of contestants.
It underwent a probe by the Culture, Media and Sport committee after a number of contestants spoke out against alleged "bullying" on the show.
Reflecting on this, Rylan revealed that the programme would be able to make a strong comeback as "things are a lot different" now.
He continued: "I know it’s sort of been through the mill, things that
have gone on on the show and things like that, but I think nowadays things are a lot different and I think if it was done the right way it could be amazing.
"I do sort of miss that Saturday night competition where you follow these people through all the excitement, and the show did make
stars, massive stars.
"One Direction, Little Mix, even just from my series, James Arthur, Ella Henderson, me, we’re all still doing well.
"It’s a brilliant machine as long as it’s all done the right way.
"If it comes back, as long as its right, of course I’d go back. I owe a lot to that show."
Despite rising to fame on the singing show, he has not made many musical appearances since but he teased that a music career could actually be in the works.
He recently took to the stage alongside Rick Astley for the BBC's New Year's Eve concert and also appeared to hint that he could have been working on music in secret under an alias.
Rylan told us: "I’ve always loved music, I always will do, but look, that’s
what I first set out to do and then I became a successful TV presenter and I didn’t want to f*** that up.

"If I’m gonna do it, not saying I’ve not already done it with other projects shall we say, but if I’m going to do it as Rylan, it’s going to have to be this year because I’m 35, I’m getting old."
