After stocking up on discounted beauty products and homeware, you can unwind with a £1 tea, 99p hot dogs, and there are kids meals for £2.59.

Home Bargains told customers: “Did you know that we have 19 stores with a café? Well you do now!”

Shoppers can enjoy a tasty pitstop in locations such as Oxford, Preston, Coventry, Liverpool and Wrexham.

One shopper gave a detailed tour around the cafe in her nearby store in Dover, and raved about the purse-friendly prices.

More on Home Bargains

Kent-based Cayley Wilders, who posts about motherhood and lifestyle on TikTok, uploaded a video on her @cayleywilders account.

She wrote: “Come with me as I check out Home Bargains Cafe for the first time.”

First of all, the store was “huge” so gave Cayley plenty of items to peruse.

Once she was ready for her break, the cafe helpfully had “little trolley bays that you could park your shopping up.”

And her mind was blown when she saw how affordable the menu was.

She continued: “I knew the prices here were so low and I've been really wanting to try it for ages.

“So we pretty much just came for coffee and cake but here's some of the prices of things.

“Sandwiches were like under £2.

“Juice was like 80p and you can get a kids meal for £2.59, which is amazing.

“Tea £1, coffees £1.50, hot dogs 99p.”

Cayley was also impressed by the “insane” £1.49 cakes.

While there are an array of cakes to choose from, the menu offers everything from a bacon or sausage breakfast roll costing £1.99, two toasted crumpets with butter for £1 or a toasted teacake with butter for £1.

They even have a kids' meal which is £2.59 and includes a sandwich or hot dog, crisps, doughnut and a bottled drink.

The mum added: “Then I had such a good selection of pastries, like 50p for a sausage roll and 89p for a croissant, and check out these amazing Nutella muffins for £1.39.

“We loaded up on the cake and the coffee.”

Cayley showed the items she managed to pick up for £5, which she thought was a good deal compared to high street coffee shops.

She added: “If you compare this to go into somewhere like Costa, just the coffee alone will cost you £5.”

Once she was fed and watered, Cayley said that the next excitement in the Home Bargains store was that they also had a Garden World section.
