I work as a Christmas elf in Lapland – we see reindeer all the time & get daily sauna visits, but there is a downside
MANY people dream of flying to Lapland to experience meeting Father Christmas and seeing reindeer.
However, for others, this is their full-time home and they fly to work there in a range of jobs - including one woman who is employed as Santa’s elf.
Liberty Stockley shared a behind-the-scenes video of her life in Levi, which is a resort in Finnish Lapland.
And the job appears to come with a lot of perks.
On her @libertystockley account, she wrote: “Benefits of working as an elf in Lapland.”
Seeing the Northern Lights is often high on many bucket lists, but for Liberty, witnessing this natural phenomenon is a regular occurrence.

Next up, Liberty says a top perk is “working with Santa himself” and showed a snap of her dressed in her red elf outfit standing next to “Father Christmas”.
The third perk was “having reindeer friends” and she posted a photo of her having a sleigh ride with them adding “ticking off bucket list things.”
She also loves getting to “drive a snowmobile to work each day” and seeing “pearly clouds.”
However, there was one drawback.
Liberty joked her car frequently gets stuck in the snow and showed a photo of when it had happened to her.
But there were plenty more reasons she loves her job - including her getting to use a sauna on a daily basis.
She also added that “picture opportunities everywhere” and “having the best hot chocolate” were top perks.
Liberty also loves seeing reindeer crossings and getting to see the “world’s biggest snowman”, and she showed herself posing next to it.
Other highlights were reading letters from kids around the world and playing with huskies.
Unsurprisingly, many people gushed over her unusual job and said they wanted to apply.
Her video racked up over 113,000 likes, and people took to the comments in their droves.
One wrote: “I’ve found my dream career by the looks of it.”
Another added: “this is what i want to be.”
