It's been a bitty start at Villa Park with little quality on show yet.
Morgan Rogers raced clear on goal and went down as Town goalie Alex Palmer raced out of his box.
However VAR confirmed there was no contact from the keeper although Rogers could have been awarded a foul as chasing defender Jacob Greaves shoved him off balance.
Early injuries to Boubacar Kamara and Enciso have seen both players replaced by Tyrone Mings and Jack Clarke, which has disrupted the flow of the game.

WELCOME to Manchester, Omar Marmoush.
The January signing from Eintracht Frankfurt has caught the eye since he arrived at the Etihad but now we see what he’s all about.
First he capitalised on a missed header by Kieran Trippier to score then five minutes later he took a pass from Ilkay Gundogan and drove a low shot into the corner.
Newcastle stunned.

So much for that optimism at West Ham...
The Hammers look wide open here and are doing nothing of any value on the ball. Brentford's flying forwards are carving through the West Ham defence with ease and the Hammers are making mistake after mistake.
Potter must be contemplating a change at the break, if not before, already.

Bournemouth stunned the Saints with two clinical finishes inside the first 16 minutes.
Jan Bednarek and Nathan Wood allowed Dango Ouattara to sneak away to head home Ryan Christie’s 14th minute cross.
And Christlike was soon celebrating a rare goal himself when he was given room to smash home the second from 25 yards.

21. Newcastle's poor form at The Etihad looks set to continue.
A long ball forward from Ederson sees Marmoush run onto it and he lifts the ball over the advancing keeper to score.
Just what the hosts needed in this game.

15. Marco Silva's side have been threatening in the early stages.
Finally they have their goal as the former Arsenal man scores.
Traore crossed the ball in for Smith Rowe to head home from close range.

14. The Cherries break the deadlock in this south coast derby.
Great play from Christie in the build-up to create the chance for his teammate.
Ouattara is in a rich vein of form and converts to open the scoring.

TYPICALLY of City’s season, three of the four defenders who started against Real Madrid in midweek are not fit to start.
Pep Guardiola faces a tricky task to pick his players up after that crushing last gasp defeat.
Erling Haaland, who was not even on the five man captaincy committee at the start of the season, takes the armband.
A big day in the battle to secure Champions League football for next season.
Can Newcastle win for the first time in the league at the Etihad and give their hopes a huge lift.

West Ham 0-1 Brentford
4. Great start from The Bees in this London derby.
Thomas Frank's side have been piling the pressure and Schade converts from close range.
Moments earlier he had a shot saved after Mbuemo did well to set up the opportunity.

FULHAM and Nottingham Forest unchanged for today's meeting. Why would you tinker with a team that won 7-0 in its last Premier League game in Forest's case?
The FA Cup was a different matter last week of course with rotations on both sides.
Last season Fulham thumped Forest 5-0 at Craven Cottage and furious owner Evangelos Marinakis stormed out of the ground early. His ID lanyard was later discovered in the Privet bush of a nearby garden. Tut tut.

ASTON VILLA have only kept one clean sheet in their past 14 league and cup matches.
Ipswich Town have only kept one in their last 20 top flight games.
Ollie Watkins is back to lead the Villa front line and Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio are itching to get off the bench and into the action.
While the Tractor Boys have an in-form Liam Delap up front for them.
I expect goals - so that should be the cue for a drab goalless draw!

Today feels like a big chance for Graham Potter to show fans what his side will be all about.
The Hammers manager is welcoming back a number of players, while Evan Ferguson and James Ward-Prowse are both on the bench.
There have been encouraging signs in his early games but just one win as Potter has scraped through with a number of players out.
A performance and result here would be a big statement.

Mikel Merino set the tone for Arsenal's season by getting injured in his first training session.
Now he has saved it with two goals in the last 10 minutes.
Mikel Arteta had so few attacking options after Kai Havertz joined the casualty list that when he needed a goal here, he threw on midfielders Merino and Jorginho, and then defender Riccardo Calafiori.
Until then Ethan Nwaneri was his team's only real threat, hitting the woodwork twice.
But it was Nwaneri who crossed for Merino to head the first, and Calafiori who centred for him to fire home the second.
It is game on in the title race, with Liverpool now only four points ahead and needing to beat Wolves on Sunday, ahead of tricky trips to Aston Villa and Manchester City in the week to follow.
