I’d been scraping my car’s icy windscreen for 40 YEARS until my daughter showed me 5p instant frost cure

A DAD spent 40 years scraping ice from his windscreen until his daughter showed him an instant cure for just 5p.

The driver had spent decades scraping the ice from his windscreen like millions of others across the country.

However all that changed when his daughter showed him that an plastic bag filled with cold water will defrost the windscreen in seconds.

For those who don't keep old bags in their households, a new on will set you back 5p at the local supermarket - for those who do, it is a cost free exercise.

In a recent video, TikTok user @kaclink1 said: "It is as simple as that, frosted window, bag of water.

"All in real speed, nice and easy - job done."

The video has almost 35,000 views, with everyone commenting about its success.
"Wow, amazing, what next," a TikTok user said.
"Mate you are a genius," one said.
"I tried it this morning and it works so well," another said.

A man who spends his life on the road has shared a way to defrost your windscreen twice as fast using a handy flap above the drivers head.

The man - who goes by @urbanvanlife on TikTok - took to the platform to share his wisdom.

He starts by saying: "Once you've got your heaters onto the window screen, pull your sun visors down on both sides of the window and that will deflect the heat back onto the window screen - defrosting them twice as quick."

He adds: "Do that on both sides and your window will be defrosted quicker."

This isn't the only time a motorist has shared their defrosting tips.

Another driver urged motorist to spent just £5 and make their cars frost free for good.

Posting on TikTok under the username Kol, one motorist told fellow drivers that there was no need to waste their time with other pointless de-icing hacks.

The content creator revealed to viewers that one method is better than all the rest.
