Barn filled with incredible collection of 100s retro motors – it’s like stepping back in time & they’ll all be saved

A PETROLHEAD has revealed a huge collection of retro motors all set to be fixed up by a relentless car enthusiast - including several British favourites.

The extensive fleet of vehicles are in varying conditions with some stored inside a barn, while others have been left to brave the elements in the surrounding grounds.

The barn collection includes many favourites from the 70s, 80s and 90s - including an Austin Allegro

YouTuber James of the Questionable Car Club posted video footage of the lucky finds onto his channel, racking up over 22,000 views.

Having been invited by the owner to have a look at his incredible assortment of cars, the video opens with the motorhead looking at a special edition Citroen Xantia, complete with alloy wheels and heated seats beside an early Ford Fiesta and a 2011 Renault Laguna.

The explorer also encounters a wrecked Austin Allegro parked alongside a Citroen BX - which James says he owns a version of himself.

He added: “It has 142,000 miles on the clock, barely run in and probably wouldn't need too much to get it going again.

“It does look a little bit wet on the floor and there is a bit of rust which they do suffer with.”

The YouTuber zooms in on a MG 6, a Citroen Saxo, an estate BX and an incredible Talbot Matra Rancho van - which James claims is incredibly rare with "only six currently left on the road".

He said: “I didn't realise these were actually fibreglass, so you'd think that a few more would survive than just six or seven which is a real shame cause that was such an interesting car and it still is now.”

“It's really amazing to know that these cars are going to get saved rather than just left to die.”

Inside the barn is a larger haul of motors, many of which are in better condition.

His finds include a rarely seen Toyota Tercel, an Alfa Romeo 33 and a gorgeous Datsun Cherry complete with a wine red paint job and jazzy leopard print seat covers.

Deeper inside the barn is a rusted Mini Countryman and a Morris Ital hidden away in the corner - complete in “Apple Jack Green” which James says “is the only one left” in the unique colour.

He added: “I think that's the same name for the colour that Mr Bean’s Mini is in!”

According to James, the collection is owned by an anonymous car nut who’s looking to restore and fix every single motor on site.

James said: “It's really amazing to know that these cars are going to get saved rather than just left to die.”
