I was quoted £2,500 just for fitted wardrobes – but I did up my whole dressing room for less than that with Ikea buys

A MONEY-SMART woman has revealed how she transformed her dressing room on a budget with IKEA finds.

Before the jaw-dropping makeover, Chelsea Clutton, from the UK, was quoted an eye-watering sum of £2.5k to have fitted wardrobes installed professionally.

The hefty sum, she revealed exclusively to Fabulous, included the carcass and sliding doors - but after looking for alternatives, crafty Chelsea managed to save around £1.3k in the process.

All chuffed with the glow-up of the room, the homeware enthusiast took to TikTok where she proudly shared the results of the transformation.

The gorgeous and light dressing room features a number of beautiful items, which fit perfectly with the neutral and minimalist aesthetic.

The white vanity table with the glass surface, Chelsea revealed in a video posted on her platform, had been purchased from IKEA, where it sells for £89.

Meanwhile, the light brown SKYTTA sliding doors, also from IKEA, she'd nabbed for £635.

The vanity table area was also completed with a gorgeous IKEA LINDBYN mirror, which sells online for £150, as well as some panelling from the popular retailer B&Q.

This, she revealed, cost her £89 per piece, and she used two pieces.

Chelsea added: ''I should have also mentioned we used the IKEA Pax system behind the sliding doors which cost another £600 in total.

''So all in all we saved around £1300 by doing it ourselves.''

Needless to say, the stunning makeover has taken the internet by storm, as dozens of fellow homeware fanatics flocked to comments to praise Chelsea for the transformation.

Another chimed in: ''Wow, I love how minimal it is.''

''Oh wow, a dream,'' a third penned.

''Prettiest dressing room,'' someone else agreed.

According to IKEA, there can sometimes be a waiting time dependant on how busy it is - however, you'll be informed of this at registration.

All kids are given a safety belt, which helps the staff identify who's been signed in, and parents are always welcome to stay for five minutes in order to help their child settle.
