Adult film star Sophia Leone’s family breaks silence on ‘murder during home robbery’ after confirming her death at 26
THE family and close friends of an adult film star have spoken out after she was mysteriously found dead in her home earlier this month.
Sophia Leonie, 26, was found unresponsive in her Albuquerque, New Mexico, apartment on March 1 with homicide detectives now reportedly looking into her death.
A GoFundMe page was created by her stepfather Mike Romero, on behalf of her mother and family, to support Sophia’s family following her death.
"It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news of our beloved Sophia’s passing," the page said.
“Sophia will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her
"May she rest in eternal peace.
"Sophia without question deserves the absolute best memorial.
"Sophia was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter, Niece, and Friend. She had a deep love for all animals, specifically her 3 pets.
"She enjoyed traveling and always found ways to make everyone around her smile."
The cause of Sophia's death is currently unknown.
The film star’s modeling agency, 101 Modeling (@101modelinginc) said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that her death is being investigated as home robbery homicide.
The modeling agency also gave its condolences to Sophia in an X post and said, “Our hearts are broken by the untimely and tragic passing of our beloved Sophia Leone.”
“A beautiful spirit who touched many of us.
“RIP sweet angel and know how much we loved you.”
Robert Moran from 101 Modeling told AVN on Saturday that he and his team tried contacting Sophia multiple times last week, but her phone went straight to voicemail.
Sophia has several upcoming bookings that they were expecting her at in Los Angeles, California.
Brian Berke, who founded AMA Modeling in 2004 in South Florida and later co-founded 101 Modeling in LA, posted on X that he is devastated over Sophia’s death.
“At 18 years old you started with me at AMA and now at 26 I have to say goodbye," Brian said on X.
“We had such an amazing bond.
“Always reminding each other how much we cared.
“I was supposed to be your guardian angel.
