FIRST Dates is in a big format shake-up after daters broke the Channel 4 show’s golden rule.
In an upcoming episode that airs on Tuesday night, viewers will be left gobsmacked as two dates swap during the show, while both men are in the loo.
Emma and Dani, both 34, are best friends who both appear on First Dates and they describe themselves as “family.”
Wildlife filmmaker Joe ends up on a date with Emma after host Fred Sirieix takes them off to be seated.
Going back to Dani, Fred asks: “So, what do you think? Good match for her?”
Emma, who is at the bar on her own waiting for her date, replies: “Oh he’s lovely, yeah I think so.”

Dani is then introduced to her date and she explains to him that she’s here with her friend who is also on a date.
“We’ve been best friends since we were 11,” she adds.
Meanwhile, Emma says: “I think he’s her type,” as she looks over at Dani’s date.
But midway through the evening it’s all change, as Fred asks: “So, how’s it going?”
Dani then suggests: “Why don’t we swap,” while the men are in the loo.
The girls then get up and grab their drinks and position themselves at their new tables.
When the men leave the loo they clock what has happened, as one says: “They’ve swapped, they’re sitting the other way around.”
All the action takes place at the new First Dates restaurant in Bath, which is known as the UK's most romantic city.
The First Dates lovebirds meet for the first time in The Botanist, a hit bar and restaurant chain known for its whimsical decor.
The Botanist is in a building beloved by Bath locals, called The Octagon.
First Dates's Maître d'hôtel Fred Sirieix will be welcoming the couples on to the show, after returning from Paris to cheer on his daughter.
Bartender Merlin Griffiths is said to be excited about the range of drinks on offer at The Botanist.
And Cici Coleman will be joining her cast mates to serve up the restaurant's food to the diners.
