Passenger’s Jack James Ryan and David Threlfall’s surprising real-life connection revealed
PASSENGER stars Jack James Ryan and David Threlfall share a surprising real-life connection away from the screen.
The duo are known for their roles in the hit ITV drama, but it turns out they might have known each other beforehand.
70-year-old David, plays Jim Bracknell in Passenger, a manager of a fracking site who is blamed for a string of mysterious instances in the town called Chadder Vale.
This is as former Coronation Street star Jack James, 27, plays the role of John Trowbridge.
The drama series follows 'a close-knit community who are unwilling to face their fears of change, of outsiders and of the unknown.'
Aside from the ITV series which debuts tonight, David is also known for playing Frank Gallagher in Shameless.

In the series, fans would best remember him for often smoking cigarettes whilst swigging beer from cans.
His new co-star was never featured on the American comedy series, but he does have experience working with other members of the family.
Rebecca Ryan also starred in the popular Showtime programme as Debbie, the daughter of Frank Gallagher.
She also just so happens to be the real life sister of Jack, who is now set to appear on ITV alongside his sibling's former colleague.
Now, David reunites with another of his Shameless colleagues named Sean Gilder.
In Passenger, he plays the character of Paddy Maguire in the new thriller show.
According to the show's synopsis, "A series of strange happenings and increasingly shocking crimes start unfolding within the town, the residents resort to short-sighted theories and blame outside influences such as the fracking site and its manager Jim Bracknell (Threlfall).
"As things become stranger, so the people push back on Riya's absurd notion that something is not right with this town. But what are they so afraid of?"
